I need help

I love this one guy, he's in love with a different girl, but he does have feelings for me because he wanted to ask me out. But my friends have heard rumors about him and what he does with girls, they aren't true and I know this because I'm one of the only people that understand him and he trusts me more than anything. Is there anyway I could convince my friends that he's a nice, trustworthy person?
