The Hobbit: Can someone tell me WTH is Legolas going to appear in the movie?? Actually, the first time I've heard Orlando Bloom was going to be in it, I thought that he was going to play Thranduil's role -after all, he was his father-. But Legolas?? Toward the end of the Fellowship of the Ring, after Frodo puts on the ring to escape from Boromir, he hears a voice telling him, "Take it off, take it off! Fool! Take it off!" Later in the Two Towers, when Gandalf returns and appears to Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, Gandalf tells them that "almost the ring was revealed to [Sauron], but I had a hand in stopping him from discovering it."
