The concept of King Arthur's Capital is epitomised by the medieval Camelot, yet some of the earliest references to his court refer instead to the City of Celliwig, a name now associated with Killibury in Egloshayle, Cornwall.
Cadbury Castle is the best known and most interesting of the reputed sites of Camelot. A hill-fort beside South Cadbury, down a small road which leaves the A303 at Chapel Cross, 1 1/2 miles east of Sparkford.
King Arthur's Great Halls, a magnificent building which houses the Round Table associated with King Arthur and his Knights. The Hall has a very tasteful 'Show' of the story of Arthur and the building itself is certainly worth a visit.
