Johnny Depp Question

Does anybody know if the attached story is true?

A friend of mine at work told me something really cool today. His nephew is going college in England and was watching an interview with Johnny Depp on BBC's Entertainment network. Depp was saying that he was sad that he hasn’t gotten to perform a ritual that he’s done for many of his other recent movies, to mark the opening of Alice in Wonderland. At first he wouldn’t tell the interviewer, but after some prodding he gave in. Apparently, the week that the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean movies opened, he dressed up like Jack Sparrow and went down to Mann’s Chinese Theater to pose for pictures. Anybody that’s been to Mann’s in the past knows that the area is usually filled with celebrity look-alikes posing with tourists. Depp would blend in with the other ‘Jack Sparrows’ and superhero characters without anyone noticing. Nobody suspected that it was him. When asked how he pulled it off, he explained that it was like hiding in plain sight. He mentioned that he had tried to do the same for Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, but there were no other ‘Willy Wonka’ characters out there, so people got suspicious. He thought that he could have pulled off this ritual for the Mad Hatter. When asked why he wasn’t able to try it, he explained that the police have been cracking down on the celebrity look-alikes as many of them were making a nuisance of themselves. Combine that with all the festivities related to this weekend’s Oscar ceremony and it just didn’t seem wise to try. He ended his story by looking into the camera and telling people to look back there photos, cause they just might have posed with him in Hollywood.
