Japan was prepared for it and serious damage was still done... not to mention what would happen to other countries who aren't prepared for it.
Bad news are, that so far over 1000 people are found dead and that for now 80000 are missing.
If you want to keep track of it, here you go youtube channel which will help you to watch clips from there.

If you want the population to decrease then I would suspect that you would be glad there was an earthquake in Japan. -_- Like I said, dead bodies are dead bodies. You're not a troll? Me thinks you protest too much.

I was shocked when I heard this on the news this morning. Just thinking that when I was asleep in my bed, people were dying. This makes me extremely thankful that I have my life. Yes, we know that the death toll is going to go up, but we can help by hoping for their safety, donating to the cause, and just downright support them. Also knowing that this tsunami is going to hit other countries, we must not forget about them. The children and families who are at risk... Let's give them all of the support we can possibly give!

but sometimes finding bodies is better than not so that you know if they're alive or not.

yeh i have, and to tell you the truth i was in japan during the earthquakes and tsunamis. since i was a little more south from it i didn't get hit by the tsunami but i still felt the earthquakes. it was scary. tsunami & earthquake warnings were popping on every channel on tv and appearently my grandma (who was living closer to the tsunami)had to evacuate from her house but luckily it didn't hit her either. but to all others who did get hit i hoped (while watching the new on it)that more alive bodies were found. it was scary, really scary...
