Jang Ki Ha reveals what inspired him to write only love songs for his band’s new album.

On June 15, Kiha & the Faces held the showcase for their fourth studio album.

During the showcase, frontman Jang Ki Ha was asked if their decision to create a love-themed album was influenced by his relationship with IU.

He explained, “The lyrics are all fictional. Since all ten tracks [on the album] are about love, I would be lying if I said the lyrics are completely unrelated to my personal experiences. But instead of writing down my own feelings, I tried to capture the most basic and universal emotions of love.”

He also revealed why they chose to go with love songs, for the first time since their debut. “We used to think that love songs are cheesy, but now we felt ready to do love songs our way. That’s why we challenged ourselves and naturally included them in the album.”

Meanwhile, Kiha & the Faces’s new album is set to drop on June 16 at midnight KST. Check out the music video for their catchy pre-release track “The Smell’s Gone” here!

With all the hush-hush going on about the upcoming variety drama, “Producer,” I started thinking about what surprises awaits the eager and excited fans for its premiere. As one of those fans, I also started thinking about how different this role is for IU, which, perhaps unsurprisingly, led me to thinking about my favorite role of hers to date: Our Woman Crush Wednesday this week, Lee Soon Shin from “You’re the Best, Lee Soon Shin.”

The drama itself certainly had its flaws, but, for me, it never diminished the happiness I felt at watching our leading lady grow, succeed, and...

Remember HIGH4's awesome debut track "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms," featuring the lovely IU with the voice of an angel? It did really well when it first came out, so it comes as no surprise it's returned to the music charts despite a year hiatus.

Considering it's recently become spring, it really is no wonder people returned to the song for that more cheerful, warmer feel.

Considering this is a trend that happens with Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending," there are even speculations this song might become the second classic to experience a comeback every year.

The song was...
