On May 16, IU's fans finally wrapped up the 'IU Forest Project', finishing a forest dedicated to IU. The singer is known to have donated income from concerts and fan meetings to charities helping out children and multi-cultural families, so her fans decided to do their own charity by benefiting the environment.
They collected $470,606 USD (5.16 million Won) to create the 'IU Forest', which is filled with Yonisho Cherry trees, Boxwood trees, and more. IU's fans commented, "We're thankful to be able to participate in this forest project in order to congratulate IU on her 22nd birthday.
Like trees that give people beautiful flowers and shade, we hope that IU will give people beautiful rest with her music and other activities."
