Singer IU made a surprise appearance at a band Hyukoh show on August 1.

During a low-key Hyukoh show held in a cafe located in Hongdae, IU surprised everyone by coming up to the stage without any notice.

During her appearance, she played the acoustic guitar and sang Lee Moon Sae‘s “Old Love.” She also performed a duet with Hyukoh’s frontman Oh Hyuk, singing the band’s hit song “Gondry.”

IU has previously voiced that she was a huge fan of the band, posting a picture of herself holding the band’s album to her Instagram account. They got acquainted recently as they both participated in “Infinity Challenge‘s” 2015 Music Festival.

Watch a short fan-taken video of IU and Oh Hyuk’s “Gondry” performance below!

Hyukoh recently merged with Tablo’s new label, High Ground, about which Oh Hyuk said, “I like this change. First of all, Tablo treats us well.

He listens well, and he gives us a lot of advice. I like the fact that he gives advice as a musician.”

IU revealed that even she has had her moments with her manager.

On the episode of China’s Sohu TV and iQiyi’s “Star From Korea,” aired on August 7, IU says she was a little bit of both when asked, “Are you as harsh to your manager as Cindy is in “Producer?”’

“We’re human too, so it’s inevitable that we see each other’s good sides and also get on each other’s nerves after spending 10 to 20 hours together,” she says. “I also have a quick temper. I used to argue a lot with my ex-manager. I even threw the car key saying I was never seeing him again.”

Meanwhile, IU is...

Korean hip-hop artist Verbal Jint has been drawing much attention for his confession about IU after his appearance on a recent Running Man episode.

The Running Man team was pitted against Yoo Jae Suk and his hip-hop team consisting of Jessi, San E, Jay Park, Eun Ji Won, and Verbal Jint.

Verbal Jint was labeled as humorous, but also the weakest link as he was beaten by Kim Jong Kook in a relay race and had troubles holding a cup around his mouth and chin in the same game earlier on Verbal Jint’s entertaining performance and character had Running Man fans curious about who he is.
