Indeed. Its very interesting to see anybody choose YES, which is the reason I made this pick. Too often in the story I see Inuyasha get put down over the littlest things and he's always the one who's blamed for it. No one ever seems to take his side even when he isn't wrong. Its never viewed as abuse, or as something unnecissary, they just assume it must have been his fault. To me it is just wrong, and is one of the aspects of the story I find the least amusing.
People feel more inclined to be on Kagome's side regardless, just because she is 'of the weaker sex' and they think she needs defense. Usually that is the case, where the men are seen as always right and the women are wrong and get ganged up upon. But what about the men?
Sexism? Hmm. I've ever considered it a matter of sexism, but perhaps you do have a point, like a form of reveange, got ya. Still though, rather it's boys picking on girls or girls ganing up and picking on the boy I don't like it. I'd like to take that damn beaded neclace of subjugation and string it around her bloody head and tell her to SIT!!!! a thousand times over^^ now THAT would make me laugh, lol.
I'm a girl, so I'd just like to see her get smacked every now and then to even the score, thats all. (though probily not by Inuyasha, of course)this would require some good old fashioned girl'n'girl.
hmm i would like to see kagome get smacked around by kikyo and that would make my day. although it proably isn't for the same reason as everybody else i just think i hate kagome.
Well I mean, InuYasha can be a douche. And Kagome fights back (which is admirable of her), but people typically rush to her defense. Sexism nowadays is usually when the females are seen as inferior objects for male to use in whichever way he pleases, but they're mostly good for being housewives, sex and just procreation in general. I'm sure in feudal Japan anti-feminism was very blatant in their society, since the men were in control.
So I think this situation that we're talking about here is the opposite of the typical sexism. It's against males this time, because, though Kagome has some decent willpower, InuYasha obviously seems to be the more dominant of the two (being much stronger and having that kind of attitude). So people see it as if Kagome's not strong enough to stand up for herself, InuYasha will walk all over her.
...I know that sounds kinda weird, and as if I'm on Kagome's side or something. I'm just trying to explain properly why I see sexism in this. ^^;;
That would be quite hilarious, though. I'm sorry, but Kagome annoys the hell out of me most times. Have you ever counted how many times she'll just exclaim InuYasha's name from the sidelines? (And just his name, nothing else. She's helping him out so much with that!) It DRIVES ME CRAZY. She does deserve to get smacked around a little, I would enjoy watching her brawl against one of the way cooler, stronger and less whiny female characters. :) Or I'll do it (being female myself).
My thoughts exactly XD!!! It would be GREAT to see her just get smacked by Kikyo over evesdropping, or by Sango over something like having gotten fed up with her whining about her shoes while everyone else is wearing wooden sandels or goes bearfoot, or cyring about having left her math homework at home, while they are out risking their lives batteling impossibily strong evil demons day in and day out. lol^^
lol i never noticed before but she does complain about math homework and her shoes maybe instead of kikyo it should be sango to just slap her around a bit. and kagome does just scream inuyasha's name and nothing else a lot.it kinda irritates the hell out of me when she just screams inuyasha when he knows perfectly well what's happening but he still turns to look at her and ends up getting hit or close to getting hit.
It'd be better if she just went home, and let the tough guys handel all the dirty work. Especialy since they already know where all the shard are, I know she has an improtant role with that, but geeze, enough with the goody-to-shoes CRAP! She's not a saint, she a SPOILED PRISSY LITTLE BRAT! A bitch should admit that she is a bitch and have that be that, then perhaps she wouldn't be so damn annoying.
Her "cutesyness" only makes it worse. "Oh InuYasha! Save me! Again! =D *Giggle*" It makes me want to beat her ass DOWN, and then drop kick her back into her own damn time. Then run off with either Sesshomaru-sama or Kouga. :)
Ah... its the Cuteyness that tops it off, alright! I say we go Warner Brothers on her ass and shuv an anvil down her throat then drop kick her ass down the well so she'd stay there for good!^^ Then get out the hammer and nails and boad up that damn well!
hmmm...i think it's so stupid how kagome is the only one in the whole feudal era that can sense the sacred jewel shards(not including kikyo becuz she is of course the living dead)i just think it's so stupid how someone as dumb whiny and plain irritating as she is is the only one who can sense the jewel shards....they should have chose someone who can take care of themself yet maintain inuyasha all at once to be the one who could sense the sacred jewel shards.
It makes you wonder doesn't it, was Kikyo able to sence the jewel while she held it under her protection before she died, and could other Mikos accross the land not also sence it, and taken up the cause, or is it only Kagome. She was born with the thing hidden in her body so, I dunno. Maybe she is the only one who can sence it, actually I think it is even meantioned in the story, that only Kagome can sence it (and yet Kikyo can to so, hmmm), but I'm not sure if that refference was only their assumption, or if it refers to actual fact. *I think it was either Naraku, Kaede or Inuyasha who said it, not sure which.
I think since Kikyo was its protector for a long time, and because it was reborn inside of Kagome's body, that they can sense (and purify) the jewel. Wouldn't it be interesting if, like she promised she would, that Ayame was able to sense the shards? She promised Kouga she would, in determination to get him to be her mate. If we're speaking of the anime version, of course. I find Ayame more bearable than Kagome. We could actually be rid of her! =D
i was wishing for the longest that ayame would come back and be able to sense the sacred jewel shards because then i was hopeing that if koga flirted with kagome again that ayame would come out of nowhere attack kagome and show koga her new ability then beat kagome again for making sounds of pain(the last beating was based on my not liking kagome emotions though so...who cares just beat her is what i was thinking at the time).
Well it depends on how this is viewed. In the story, Kagome's feelings are more important, because whether InuYasha gets injured tonight depends on whether she feels easy-going or not... but then and again, if it's about generally, then InuYasha's feeling is just as important, and I think Kagome should really consider InuYasha's feelings for once.
Maybe it's just me,or that she pisses me off sometimes.kagomes feelings are not more important. If it was the show would be called Kagome not Inuyasha. She just pisses me off with her child-like behavior kinda being over-dramatic,can't even defend herself, and always yells out "Inuyasha" when she's in trouble.
Inu-kun's feelings are very important after all the series is called InuYasha for a reason even though he chooses not to show his feelings doesn't mean he doesn't have them and I'm sure over the course of the series he had a lot and I mean a lot to think about and I'd have to say both of their feelings are important considering they're both main characters but still InuYasha's feelings have changed a lot in the course of the series especially when it comes to Kikyou and Kagome-chan but I kind of feel one without the others feelings would make the story of incomplete in a sense :/
Well. If you ask me if Kagome's thinking add more into Inuyasha's series then I would say yes. Because for Inuyasha - the top main character, in some circumstances (especially with Kikyo's cases), Inuyasha didn't show much his thinking, Kagome was the one who explained it in a way. But I would rather want to hear it directly from Inuyasha more.
However, if you ask me if her thinking is more important than Inuyasha's, then I would definitely say no. Why would her thinking be more important than his? If there're reasons, to me, both their thinking are important as the same. If there's no reason, both are bullshit to me.
Sexism can work both ways.
I'm a girl, so I'd just like to see her get smacked every now and then to even the score, thats all. (though probily not by Inuyasha, of course)this would require some good old fashioned girl'n'girl.
