If you love them because you take pity on them and want to help them, its almost like giving love on a charitable basis. Its almost like the love is conditional, once they're cured the love will be gone because they are no longer needy. If you fall in love with someone and they happen to be broken or needy, then I think its ok because that's not the tie that's linking you both together. And yes, every character has problems, I think its meant to show that everyone has something wrong with their life, and in fact they may appear perfectly untouched on the surface, deep down they are hurt or are longing for something more. posted over a year ago.
