PLAYBOY: How would you like to see things end up for House? What do you imagine he’ll be like in the final episode?
LAURIE: Happy. In a relationship with a kindred spirit. Understood. But if it doesn’t happen, it’s probably just as well. See, I have these practical theories about television, which is that characters don’t grow and change. They can’t, or you wouldn’t have a series. Columbo didn’t grow and change; he just solved more stuff. My theory with House is he’ll continue to be separated from joy right to the end. That’s just who he is.

CUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLAYBOY: Does it surprise you that people view House—and you—as a sex symbol?
LAURIE: Completely. It’s utterly absurd. Weird. Deranged. I can’t explain it.

PLAYBOY: You’re about to turn 50——
LAURIE: It sounds so ominous when you put it like that.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LUV HUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I loved this interview. They weren't the same old run-of-the-mill questions that Hugh's answered a million times. I'm kinda annoyed that people are bringing up the fact that he's turning 50 this year though (Leno mentioned it, it's in this interview). They act like it's so...old or something.

And I think it's adorable that he's uncomfortable about the sex symbol thing. The man's gorgeous, and (in my opinion) just keeps getting better with age.

LMAO I love him!!!! And yes 50 really isn't THAT old, but I guess it is a milestone and people like to talk about stuff like that, I don;t understand it lol.

wow...Can I say I'm really impressed?

I knew he was brilliant and humble...but he's really far away from the idea of him I've made in my mind.
He is BETTER!

I really loved that "1st eathquake" thing. It was so sincere...
And I loved the way he Talked about Greg House (btw my heart is making "...Greg house, greg house..." i remembered that quote!)...he hopes House will be happy and in love.
that's so sweet.

I admire him. really.

...he's 5 months older than my mother.

wanna be his daughter...
