It is interesting how we perceive these House moments. I understand your thinking. That did not occur to me as a result. Taub's "cozy up" to the nurse & House's close-up facial reaction that followed, made me feel differently, (idealistic) that House expressed a sudden disillusioned awareness at the futility of love & relationships, (considering Taub supposedly just did the "wedding vow" renewal routine). I really didn't see House doubting himself. Another view could be that he was given pause or taken aback by the sheer manipulative skills of a cheater. Appreciate your insight though.
