In this new posting, I have a proposal of how Season 8 could have been the greatest season of Dr. House, EVER. Recall that in the finale of Season 7, House crashes his car into the front of Dr. Cuddy's house in protest over their breakup.

1. Cuddy hires a new charismatic and brilliant Doctor into princeton plainview and sets up a parallel department of diagnostic medicine. She assigns half of house's team to work with this new doctor.

2. House and this doctor end up competing for patients and to diagnose life-critical maladies.

3. Meanwhile Cuddy starts dating this new doctor as revenge for the way House treated her when she finally relented on his advances, 20+ years after their first fling together.

4. House goes full thermonuclear war against this guy, drugging him, kidnapping him, setting him in a house with a 3-minute time bomb about to explode, you know, all the standard house things. He also gives food-poisoning to team members who mutinied against him,

5. Somehow the writers wrap up the season in the end with Cuddy and House getting married, and Wilson finds a girlfriend who happens to look 99% like Amber (because she is played by the same actress but she is 100% different in every way; hippie, sensitive, self-sacrificing, etc., something that Wilson never got from anyone around him.)

The most important thing is that House & Cuddy are still in the season with Cuddy having a significant role, to keep her on the cast. It really sucked when she left!
