This is scene 3 of Part 1. Hope you like it. Please comment =)

Sarah did not hear the soft footsteps enter her lab. She was running tests on several of her patients and listening to her Ipod. When she could, she preferred to drown out the rest of the world and work in solitude. Suddenly one of her headphones was yanked from her ear, catching her so off guard that she fell out of her favorite spinning chair.
“Damn it House, don’t do that,” she admonished as she got up and turned off her Ipod.
“You should work on being a little less skittish, especially since you’re about as graceful as a drunk on roller-skates.”
“Did you need something?”
“I got Cuddys’ medical history.”
“You won over the Iraqi government?”
“She told me.”
“Huh, I guess she does value her life. In any case she’s not dying.”
“You have her test results already?”
“Yup, but first I would like you to divulge her medical history.”
“When she was a month old Sharon took her to a doctor to have her killed. Cuddy believes they used botulinum toxin.”
“How did she survive that?”
“No one knows. There were a couple bad bouts of the flu__”
“The Spanish Flu has been linked to Schizophrenia, but that is not the answer.”
“Not the right strains anyway. When she was ten she contracted Mediterranean Fever. Age 11: she was hospitalized for explosion related injuries. Apparently a bomb was dropped on her school by the US military. Some of those injuries were a broken parietal bone and occipital bone, which required pins. And there’s a family history of Tay-Sachs.”
“That would be so much more interesting if those pins had shifted and hit the proper areas to set off a hallucination, but as I said before I have the answer.”
“What is it?”
“None of your business,” Sarah replied standing up.
Cuddy did not like House knowing anything about her absent medical records. Sure she had left out the most important part, the part that was a danger to her career. She had left out anything that couldn’t account for hallucinations. Still the fact that he knew anything about her past and current circumstances was unsettling. The only person who was allowed to know anything was Sarah and even she didn’t know about Cuddys’ potentially career-ruining secrets. House was getting to close, way too close. Cuddy would have to distance herself before he figured out too much. The familiar clunk of oversized combat boots interrupted her thoughts.
“You want to explain to me why you and Lucy were in the sky with diamonds,” Sarah asked.
“I didn’t drop acid,” Cuddy replied indignantly.
“Then why is it on your tox-screen?”
“I don’t know.”
Actually Cuddy did know why, but she wasn’t going to screw up this time.
“You don’t know,” Sarah repeated skeptically.
“Nope.”
“I doubt it.”
“You think I would take LSD?”
“No, but I think you know how it entered your bloodstream, or at least have some idea.”
Cuddy sighed heavily. Why couldn’t she have less invasive friends?
“If you’re not going to tell me, fine. I ran an amniocentesis. Your kid’s fine.”
“Great.”
Sarah sighed heavily and ran her fingers through her bright red hair.
“Please tell me that Tritter is not tormenting you.”
“He’s not tormenting me,” Cuddy replied flatly.
“Then roll down the neck of your shirt.”
Cuddy had been left in her street clothes. She had a good idea as to why. No one wanted to touch a rape victim. They probably thought she would flip out on them.
“Why,” she asked coldly.
“Damn it Cuddy, I’m not going to go to the police. That would be an exercise in futility. We will have to try a different tactic.”
“We? I don’t recall you being involved in any of this.”
“And I don’t recall asking for your permission to be involved.”
“That doesn’t make sense. Why would you __”
“Because I want to.”
“Why?”
“Are you really that dense? Because you’re my friend you nimrod.”
“Do us both a favor and stay out of this. I can handle this on my own.”
“Fabulous job so far,” Sarah replied sarcastically.
“And you are the master of handling things well,” Cuddy snapped.
“What is that supposed to mean,” Sarah asked, her tone deadly.
“People who end up on Prozac obviously have issues handling things.”
For a few seconds Sarah remained silent her expression as emotionless as ever.
“Very cute. You keep bitch-slapping the people who are trying to help you one day you will look around and no one will be there. People aren’t going to stick around and be abused because they feel sorry for you.”
