Wilson's Heart shows that everyone has a breaking point.
Wilson's Heart shows that everyone has a breaking point.
So, class, today we're going to be studying and discussing the last scenes of Wilson's Heart, starting with Wilson on the bed with Amber's letter.

WILSON
From earlier in the episode, we already know that Wilson is majorly distraught due to Amber's death, but I think that the point where he really falls apart is when he reads her letter. My theory as to why this is the exact time is that he reads it and he realizes that Amber really is gone. He will never see her again and it overwhelms him.

THIRTEEN
I think that the reason Thirteen went and got herself checked is that she realized (we're going to be using that word a lot in this lesson, 'realize'.) that she is indeed mortal and is going to die and she doesn't want to die not knowing if she has Huntington's or not. Though, and forgive me for saying this, if she did have Huntingtons, which we all know she does now, she would know what was killing her. Witnessing a friend's death, she comes to terms with the fact that hers is not so far away.

CUDDY
This is my favorite scene from Wilson's Heart, mainly because I love the interaction, even if it is subtle. She (Cuddy) nearly lost House in the last episode, and we all heard the worried crack in her voice when she exclaimed, "Idiot! Your heart stopped!" The point I'm trying to make here is that despite the arguments they get into, the power plays they display, they really do care about each other deeply. Cuddy was the only one who cared enough to stay and watch over House while he was in his coma, and I think that really says a lot about their friendship. She cares about him and desperately wants him to wake up, as did we all, and the only way she knew how to care was to be there. If you ask me, I think she did the trick.

TAUB
While Taub was not always my favorite character, the humanity he displayed in this episode was touching, if not only to me. I loved when he went home and held his wife. We know he's cheated on her, and I like that here he shows he really, really cares about and loves her. Like Thirteen, he saw someone he knew die and he didn't want that to happen to his wife. It was not himself he thought of when he got home; it was his wife. That was extremely selfless of him, and it only made me like him more.

A FOOTNOTE ABOUT KUTNER
Sorry, I couldn't find a picture of Kutner. But anyway, I think he was the one who handled Amber's death with the most grace and posterity. IMO, the reason that this was was that he had already dealt with death of a close one and he knew that if you fell apart, it was over, at least for then. He held the team together when they found out that it was too late for Amber, and that showed real strength. :]

Well, I hope you enjoyed my observations of the characters in Wilson's Heart.
No matter how badly we all fall apart, we all have the choice of getting off the bus.

I love silly little bits of information that are utterly useless in practical everyday life. So I thought I would compile a '6 Degrees Of Separation' list (well, sort of...) for 'House MD'.

Lots of the actors and actresses that have appeared on the show have crossed paths before working on, or since working on 'House MD'. Here are the ones that I have picked up on...

1) Kurtwood Smith, who played Dr. Obyedkov (father of Patient-Of-The-Week Patrick) in the season three episode 'Half-Wit', also played the father to Robert Sean Leonard's character, Neil Perry, in the 1989 movie 'Dead Poets Society'....

This fanfiction is set after the bus crash. It is supposed to have more than one chapter but I still have to write the others.
(Probably it will be Huddy (who knows me shouldn't be suprised)
I hope you like it and I didn't make too many mistakes.

Chapter 1: Thoughts of a dying atheist.

House felt dizzy. But dizziness was not the main reason why he was worried. It was his mind.
He blinked to chase the imagines away but it didn't work. Coloured points danced in front of his eyes and they changed their appearance so fast he didn't wonder anymore why he felt dizzy.

From gaudy orange to pink then to blue,...

Ever wondered exactly what is going on in House’s head? What’s actually making him be a jerk?
Some say that he is simply a jerk but I beg to differ. Someone is not born being a jerk, they are either made that way due to life experiences or a mental disorder. In the fourth episode of the 3rd season “Lines in the Sand” House treats an autistic patient. Wilson begins to wonder why House wants to treat this autistic boy and comes to the conclusion that House may suffer from Asperger Syndrome a type of autism that causes difficulties in social interaction, restricted and repetitive patterns...
