Recently I have noticed a startling lack of warmth towards House/Wilson, and doubtless House/anymale as well, but I have yet to investigate this.

My thoughts are, 'why?' Just what do the patrons of Fanpop have against this widely popular 'ship? It has even been adressed by the stars. It's being written into the show, as demonstrated by Don't Ever Change. But in Fanpop, I've seen people say they have been traumatised by it.

Personally, I am very much against House/Cameron, but I don't make fun of the people that support them. I support Huddy, but not to the point where I fight other 'ships for supremacy.

For example, Livejournal has a community for every 'ship, some of which you are probably not even aware of (Taub/Brenda and things of that nature) and their member counts show just how diverse the fans are:

House_Wilson - Watching: 2581 accounts
Member of: 3134 accounts

House_Cameron - Watching: 1701 accounts
Member of: 2262 accounts

House_Cuddy - Member of: 1516 accounts

That doesn't even approach the number of comms, there are at least ten seperate House/Wilsons. And yet, as opposed to Fanpop, far less in the way of Hameron or Huddy.

See what I mean? With so many comms, you expect rivalry, but they're very peaceful, and there is very little bashing. (everyone gets bashed in fics.) So why does Fanpop, who I have always been happy to call hurt-free, seem so disgusted by one of the many slash pairings?

So you can keep your het pairings, and your OTPs, but remember. House/Wilson is a much loved pairing, and it's followers are not there to be mocked or accused of traumatising you.
