Cate: <smiled> Hey…
The woman stood up and offered him a glass of water as she stayed there beside him. She was smiling back even if he showed no interest to see her at all. The moment he’s done with the water, he handed it back to her.
Cate: Want some more?
House: No…
She nodded and placed the glass on the table before looking back at him.
Cate: So, how are you?
House: Okay…
Cate: It’s been a long time since I saw you…
House: Yah… <He sat back, letting his back leaned against his propped pillow>
Cate: Do you need anything else, besides water?
House: No… --- Why are you here? And how come you know that I’m here? Cuddy called you?
Cate: That’s a lot of question you’ve got there, but yes… She did…
House rolled his eyes but Cate, even if she got offended, disregarded his gesture.
Cate: She’s been calling me two months earlier… I guess that’s the same time when ----
House: Actually… When you asked me what I wanted besides water, I do want one…

House: I need to be alone…
The psychiatrist nodded back before getting her belongings and finally walking out the room.

Cate went straight to Pitt right after she left House’s room. Mixed emotions were running through her veins as she sat down on the couch across the doctor’s table and she did it without meeting Pitt’s questioning stare.
Pitt: Why are you here?
She finally looked at him and gave out a sigh.
Cate: Do you guys really need me here?
Pitt: Yah… We need and want you…
Cate: Doesn’t seem that way…
Pitt: What the hell did House do?
Cate: Nothing…
Pitt: Nothing? --- You wouldn’t be here if he did nothing… You would probably be ---
Cate: Fine… he really did nothing… as in NOTHING…
Pitt: Ohw… And you’re here because, you’re hurting because he did nothing?
Cate tilted her head in agreement but Pitt returned it with an annoying chuckle.
Pitt: Oh god women… Do you really have to get emotional every time?
Cate: Am not…

Meanwhile, Daniel was having some legs and arms stretching when House came in to join him. He stayed standing just a few steps away from his former patient who looked at him the moment he entered the field.
Daniel: What are you doing here? Thought you’re supposed to be with… what’s the name of the girl?... Oh yah, Cate…
House: I went out to get away from her and here you are talking about her?
Daniel: <sarcastically said> Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t know…
The doctor took the flat rock as a seat as he watch Daniel do some fake jogging.
Daniel: So… been over with you heart broken emo moments?
House: Shut up…
Daniel: I’ll take that as a no… --- C’mon, get over that buddy, you have Cate now why bother looking back at someone who doesn’t want to be with you anymore…
House: You know what, every time you talk that way, I always fall on the idea that you’re talking me out of Cuddy so you will be the one to be her superman…
Daniel: Yah but in my part, I also always fall on the idea that you’re talking me out of Cuddy so no one will get her from you… In simple terms, you’re jealous…
House looked at him, loosing words from his grip so he looked away in a few minutes that made Daniel scoffed.

Daniel stopped with his fake jog and sat down beside House while wiping his waterfall-like sweat.
Daniel: So tell me, what makes Cuddy, Cuddy and what makes Cate, Cate?
House: You’re asking me that question like you’re asking me what makes a chicken, chicken and what makes a tiger, a tiger…
Daniel: Fine, let me re-phrase it, what’s wrong with Cate?
House scoffed and looked away again from Daniel’s stare.
House: She’s not the woman I need and wanted. There’s no spark, there’s a thick wall that defines how different we are…
Daniel: So Cuddy on the other hand have those? The spark and everything you need and wanted?
The doctor cocked one eyebrow up and Daniel nodded back.
Daniel: But with Cate, I heard, there used to be… what change?
House: Maybe the thick wall just got thicker…
The two gents chuckled together.
Daniel: Give her a chance, House… <the doctor looked at him> I’m not saying this because I want Cuddy for myself but don’t do you think it’s quite unfair for Cate’s part?
House: No… The walls had become unbearably thick ion years ago…
Daniel gave out a heavy sigh as House stood up again.
Daniel: Again, what’s wrong with Cate Milton? Why treat an angel like hell?
House: Because she did the same! ---- <ran some fingers in his temple before looking at Daniel again> Does she really think I am not hurt when she confirmed that she chose Shaun rather than me? Was she really expecting me to shake it off that easy? --- Damn with it!
The moment the doctor finished his “hurt” speech, Daniel wore wider eyes this time. He can’t believe the pain was really there and that revenge has been planned.
Daniel: But it’s not her fault House… Falling in love with someone else can’t be controlled even if both of you are also falling for each other at that time…
House: Brilliant. Tell it to her too. That she can’t control who I want to be with. --- This is the only me she gets… the dark side…
House began to trail off leaving Daniel shaking his head.
