Facts About the Show

+ Hugh Laurie, who plays House on the show, is actually British. He's starred in many British comedy films and television series' but House is his first American television endeavor.

+ Hugh Laurie is also a writer (he's written a novel called The Gun Seller), a musician (he plays a number of instruments) and rides a motorcycle.

+ Jennifer Morrison, who plays Dr. Cameron, is actually a blond.

+ During Hugh Laurie's audition, David Shore says that Bryan Singer, one of the executive producers, said, "See, this is what I want: an American guy." Singer was completely unaware of the fact that Laurie is English.

+ Hugh Laurie's own dad was a doctor, and he feels a twinge of guilt at "being paid more to become a fake version of my own father".

+ Robert Sean Leonard (Dr. James Wilson) starred in The Violet Hour with Scott Foley. Foley made a cameo appearence as a pro baseball player in "Sports Medicine", an episode of House. Coincidence? I think not.

+ Hugh Laurie suffers from clinical depression. His bouts of depression leave him feeling pretty worthless and that even with all the success House has brought him and the fact he gives a pretty phanominal performance as him, Laurie feels he dosen't deserve it. In fact he can often be seen on the set of House sitting on the pavement worrying what he's done isn't good enough.

+ In "Fidelity", House is watching TV and the credits roll onto the screen. One of the names is "Marcy Kaplan" who is supposedly a hair stylist. Marcy G. Kaplan is one of the producers of the show. Clever!

+ In "Control", the guy who can't talk is named Mr. van der Meer. Garet van der Meer is also a producer of the show. I guess the writers figure they're being clever and that nobody will notice something like that. But oh, how wrong they are.

+ In "Sports Medicine", Bryan Singer (one of the Executive Producers of the show) plays the director who's doing the anti-drug commerical in the very beginning of the episode.

+ Hugh Laurie plays the piano, saxophone, slide and acoustic guitar and harmonica.

+ Hugh's full name is James Hugh Calum Laurie.

+ Did you know that Hugh has a passion for motorbikes? He started riding when he was ten and has been for 30 years. He can handle a bike pretty well and says that he's a better rider than he is a driver because he rides more. When he realised House was a success the first thing he did was buy a new bike, a replica of a classic sixties bike, a Triumph Bonneville and believes it is one of the greatest bikes of all time.
He prefers the Triumph to a Harley davidson because; "Harleys are slow, expensive, can't corner and don't stop very well. They look like a shop window of Harrods' at Christmas."
He's also not a big fan of the way Californians drive, he says in a recent interview; "They have big cars here and they are the most pathetic motorists I have ever come across any where in the world without exception. Last saturday I went driving with my wife, Jo. We were on the road for 90 minutes and we saw three accidents. The third was a man who'd turned his car over onto his roof driving along DEAD STRAIGHT road. How did he manage that?! In London you could drive for a year and probably wouldn't see three accidents."

+ Jesse Spencer (Dr. Chase) and Jennifer Morrison (Dr. Cameron) are actually dating in real life.

+ Robert Sean Leonard (Dr. Wilson) played a student who commits suicide rather than becoming a doctor in the film Dead Poets Society.

Hello fellow Fanpoppers! It is me, your friendly neighbourhood House fangirl here to spread joyous Houseisms to all that can tolerate it, though today I also bless you with an article! So in school I've recently been assigned a comparison essay to write for Language class that shows the comparison between two or more like things (ie. pens/pencils, brothers/sisters) and have just recieved my final grade on it. The topic, however, is what amused my teacher (and hopefully you guys!) since I chose to write about my Fandom. House MD vs. Grey's Anatomy. Now if you aren't aware that I really do not...

Chase and Foreman backing out annoyed me. House is going to get the answer no matter what, they might as well have helped him find it faster (even though the answer was reached when Jason admitted he had been to Florida...what idiot doesn't consider Florida tropical?!).

I'm really sick of Thirteen's screentime but I did feel for her when she was basically pleading with Jason at the end of the episode.

I wanted to pop House upside the head when he gave the gun back to Jason (haha) but I understand why he did it. He's House...he was empathizing with the patient and House had to get his answer just...

Neighborhood Legend
Chapter 5: Halloween

All in all, it has been a very stressful couple of weeks for Tom Wiltzer ever since he broke into The Mad Doctor’s apartment. If all went to plan, he and Pat probably would have had a grand tale to tell to every kid on Baker St. Well, they still probably have quite the tale to tell but Tom just wasn’t as enthusiastic about it as Patrick happened to be. To Pat, it was a heroic story of escapade that put him league with his older brother, Jack. To Tom however, it was a topic he wasn’t too comfortable discussing, mainly because...
