There was a beep and another one that made Cuddy smiled.
The Psych opened her eyes slowly. She rested her head in the hospital pillow and glanced at her eyes.
“What happened?” The Psych asked, her voice being soft as a feather.
“You had a heart failure. When you, little devil, started to laugh, your blood pressure raised and there was no air in your lungs and so you collapsed.” House snapped.
The psych haven’t noticed him, he was standing next to the glass door.
“House, what are you doing? And that’s not a way of treating your-“
“Oh Cuddy, you don’t know this girl. She’s psychic.” House cut her off. He didn’t want to admit it but the previous laughter had crept him out.
“What does that mean?”Cuddy said, confusion taking over her head.
“That I can read minds. But House thinks it’s a symptom and you think I’m nuts. Great!” Her tone was sarcastic.
Cuddy turned to face House who nodded. He limped closer to her. Cuddy stared at his leg and then held his eyes. In hers there was concern and in his there was pain. Then she turned back to see the Psych.
“What are you doing?” The Psych began reciting the thoughts she had read. “You shouldn’t be standing. Are you OK? House’s response I’m not Ok but I won’t admit it. Then Cuddy thinks, you idiot! I love this kind of eye conversations.”
She saw Cuddy’s cheeks g red and House’s eyes burning with range. Cuddy faced him again.
“She could have made-“
“I didn’t make it up. But I know you two are too vain to admit what you feel or think, Am I right?” House was getting angrier at each word the Psych pronounced.
“No, you’re sick. “ House spitted the words at her.
Cuddy gave him a death glare and smiled at the girl who laid in the bed, motionless. Her mind and mouth being the only thing alive in that body.
“Do you-“
“No, I don’t have any parents. And yes I do know you need the consent of someone over 21 but my fosters are out of town.” Cuddy nodded and walked to the door.
“House, we need to talk.” She said before leaving the room.
“Someone’s getting scold.” The Psych sang as Cuddy walked out. House began to limp and stopped when he heard this. He turned to face the girl again.
“Wrong, someone’s getting laid!” He imitated the tone the girl had used and left, leaving alone a motionless smiling girl.

The corridor was empty and silent then two bodies emerged from a room.
“You idiot! You shouldn’t be standing here, you should be in a wheelchair.” Cuddy scolded. House rolled his eyes.
“I’m fine.”
“No you’re not. Your leg is going to give you a hell of pain and you’ll go back to being an addict and-“
House trapped Cuddy’s eyes and stepped closer.
“It’s not something you should be concerned about.”
Cuddy leaned on the wall and taking advantage of her action House stepped closer. Their eyes were fighting and Cuddy’s were losing, so she waved her white flag by looking away.
“Why don’t you mind about yourself? That psychic is right, you-you are- just-jut too vain.”
House stepped closer not really knowing why. His body was forcing him to be closer to her.
Cuddy breathed, that question made her nervous and breathing his scent even more. It was a sweet and rough scent, it made her feel like taking him right there but she breathed again turning her head to the side to get some fresh air. She moved herself from the wall and stood straight, leaving few inches between his lips and hers.
She snapped back to reality. She nodded and began her way to the elevators.
“She likes you.” House jumped at the voice.
The Psych was standing next to the glass door. The tall teenager had witnessed the entire scene. House felt exposed.
“You shouldn’t be standing.”
“Neither should you but that doesn’t stop you, so why not? If I look strong enough it doesn’t matter right?”
She walked till she was in front of him.
“Do you like her?”
“It’s irrelevant. We have to run some tests.”
“Why do you think I have cancer? Who’s Wilson?”
“Some pervert oncologist. Mind walking?”
“Not at all.”
And so they walked with their own pace. The Psych asking questions, House deflecting the answers and them getting to know each other better.
They walked their way to a road close to friendship but this road didn’t have a name since, how can you be friends with yourself?

she missed him.....she couldn't live without him...she missed his eyes, his smile, and him holding onto her and never letting go.....but he was gone...forever.
she whispered to herself: "i wish you were here....to touch my hand and beg for me back...i look in the mirror and see your face....i have terrible nightmares about you....i want to live, i want to breathe, your taking over me. i'll always believe in you...i'll give up everything just to find you. have you forgotten all i know, and all we've had? if i changed.....i knew you'd love me then....hopefully you wont take over me before i go insane.."

Okay, hi, my name is obviously Lena. I have been writting a fanfic for two years now. It is a House fanfic, but it is very depressing and people die. Lot's of people. Also since we don't have lot of background stories on some of the characters I made some up that are probably really far off, but interesting and they serve to make a point. In the beginning the characters are a lot younger. Cuddy is 18. I know, no one could ever be a dean at 18, but the story covers a span of 33 years so I had to make them young. If you would like me to publish it please comment. Thank you. =)
