Previously on "In Mayfield": Six hours later, Cuddy was drifting to sleep with her head on House’s bedside. His fingers started showing some reflexes but she was unable to notice since she was sleeping. He grunted but still Cuddy didn’t noticed. He moved his head slowly, only to see those familiar curls on his bedside. He drew a smile before raising his right hand and placed it gently on her hair.
House: <whispery in a heavy tone> Lisa…
He gently and carefully caressed her hair like never been before. He removed his hand the moment Cuddy started to move. Both exchanged chuckles when their blue eyes met. Her eyes were filled with happiness that would soon be filled with tears of joy.

House returned a sincere smile as he was looking at Cuddy who was obviously holding her tears back. Both we're making small laughter to each other even if House's voice sounds lyk after a day of hard work.
House: Your smiling and laughing but tears will soon fall from your eyes...
Cuddy: You've just gotten out of coma and you still have time to mock me?
House: Mocking you is the reason why I'm not dead yet...
Cuddy poured a glass of water as House watch her. She was still holding her tears as she offered the glass to him which he then took.
House: Thank you...
Cuddy smiled as he drink the water she gave. Happy tears soon fall from Cuddy's eyes unconciously and House noticed them.
House: What the hell is that?
Cuddy: What?
House lifted his hand and slowly, more like another caress, wiped Cuddy's tears with his bare finger. She slightly closed her eyes as he look at her.
House: Something wrong?
Cuddy avoided House's gaze by looking at the front wall and was just shaking her head.
House: You suddenly lost the ability to lie. I just drifted to ---
She looked straight at his piercing blue eyes and that made him stop.
Cuddy: I was scared...
House: For me or for your hospital? --- You were scared you might lose your hospital biggest asset
Cuddy: Both... Pitt came in and told me about the risk when you didn't woke up six hours ago... Brain damage, heart attack, liver failure and ---
House: Death. I know but here I am. Alive. Breathing. You made the right call.
Cuddy made a slight chuckle of House's assurance that he's fine. Deep inside, he does enjoy the view of her smiling.
House: Feeling better now?
Cuddy nodded and smiled.
Cuddy: I'll just go out and bring Pitt in...
House: Thank you. But, wipe your tears first so you look like an adult again.
Few smiles were shared before Cuddy walked out the room.

That evening, Wilson dropped by House when Cuddy went home early for Rachel. Pitt just gotten out of the room when he came. House's voice is better this time but still, it wasn't his gruff arrogant one.
Wilson: I still can't believe it was Cuddy, a woman, who nailed Eastwood's ass!
House: Seriously? You just figured Cuddy's a woman?
Wilson: Drop it and quit jerking her around. She saved you, several times actually. For once once, House, please, even for once, respect her.
House: <Sighed> She needs, wants and deserves more than that...

A week later, House was way better than last time. He wasn't in ICU anymore rather he was admitted to recovery area. The place was better than his cell-like room when he first came in Mayfield. This is more for human. Pitt confessed that it was Cuddy who requested for his transfer as he pulled a colored MRI scan of House's brain out of an envelope.
House: She did?
Pitt raised the MRI scan to show it to House through the light.
Pitt: As you can see, MRI's normal, no lesions, no ---
House: Yah, yah, yah, I get it. -- Cuddy requested the transfer?
Pitt sighed and kept the scan back in the envelope.
Pitt: Well, the girl knows you. She knew you'll be uncomfortable in ICU so she decided to sign your transfer papers.
Pitt got another scan and lifted it again but House was more eager about Cuddy's decision.
House: Course she knows me...
Pitt: Moving on... See in this sc ---
House rolled his eyes and sighed.
House: How often does she come and visits me?
Pitt sighed and dropped the scan.
Pitt: Every other day. If things are going okay at home and in the hospital then, as often as she could, hmm, let's say... Everyday.
House smiled the same smile he did when he woke up early in the morning in BSN. Pitt noticed it and stared at him.
House: What?
Pitt: You're making my job easy...
Pitt lifted the second scan again.
Pitt: Questions 5-6 involved the name Lisa Cuddy...
House then looked at the scan.
Pitt: The red part shows ---
House: I do know how to read MRI scans.
He noticed that Pitt was right. There were red parts and a small number of yellow one and he knows what that means. Emotional excitement. Pitt lowered the scan.
Pitt: I can't believe it... Dr. Gregory House is in love...
Pitt was smiling while House was hiding his agreement with his doctor's remark by faking an annoyed face.
