Now this one is a tough one but as far as reputation tho Carpenter does have a flare for making the best movies he knows how to one big problem is he's not too reliable. When Halloween H20 was filmed he originally was the director but he dropped out and he's done it with a few other productions.

Craven it may take him a while to finish a script but he won't bale on you when it comes to filming. Almost every production he said he'd do he did i mean he even took part in the remake of the Hills Have eyes as well as a few other productions.

Carpenter film wise not counting that that i mentioned above he's a master of suspense

Craven did great with suspense as well but he had another flare with it as well

ordinarily i would choose Carpenter but in this case i have to go with Craven

Oh my, two of the greatest but I'll have to go with Craven.

Kudos for making the only horror movie that gave me nightmares-nope not nightmare on elm street or any of the movies in the series either
