Horror Movies Question

just out of curiosity, is there anyone else who does not find "slasher" movies that scary, or is it just me?

for some reason they just never phased me. i mean, don't get me wrong, they're still awesome movies, they just don't freak me out. what really scares me are the more, "paranormal" or "supernatural" horror movies. like, sinister, dead silence, the ring, paranormal activity etc., etc. you get my point lol. anyway, i was just wondering if any other horror movie fans felt the same way?

No it's definitely not you. Lots of people don't find slasher movies scary. I haven't in a long time. Scream did scare me when I first saw it, same with A nightmare on Elm Street, the original but that's about it. More like movies like The Ring, Insidious (that one made me jump a few times), The Haunting in Connecticut, The Exorcist. Though I know most people find The Exorcist to be more funny than scary. But I can't help it, I've found The Exorcist to be scary since I first saw it, when I was 13. But yeah, that's my opinion.

Totally not just you. I like slasher movies (especially the older ones like Psycho and Peeping Tom), but I don't find them scary. Haunted house movies are the ones that get me.
