Ciiry This has sadly become a big problem as hetalia pairings are a big part of our fandom. But what the fans sometimes forget is that pairings are for FUN, they are a way to find new friends and make things you didnt even know you could do, its not a crew you just declare "war" against another pairing with. For example, i like FrUk and i dont ship UsUk, this doesnt mean though that i cant appericate a artists talent put on a UsUk fanart! Some UsUk fanart are beautiful in my opinion! Just because its not my cup of tea that doesnt mean that UsUk in my eyes is a bad pairing, its all about tastes and opinions. I wish we could respect each others ship even if we dont ship it, specially the more unpopular pairings that gets more affected by the hate.

pumpkinqueen Ok, 1. FrUk fans rarely do that, we keep to ourselves and don't go searching for UsUk. And don't say 'how do you know, you hate UsUk' because I actually used to be a UsUk fan, yes I did. I was in that fandom three times, for three different reasons. Once for eye candy, once for personality, and lastly for history. I read the fanfictions and looked at the fanart. And I never, saw one FrUk troll on it. Except for when the fanfictions had France as a rapist, that started a riot alright. But, I have have seen a lot of Anti-FrUk videos on youtube, we have only one Anti-UsUk video. I see a lot more Anti-France post, fanart, etc. Not one, Anti-America anything. And on my Reasons to Support FrUk video, everyday, I get alteast one UsUk troll. My friends artwork, the same. FrUk fans 90% of the time, keep to themselves. Unless someone says something totally offensive or inaccurate. But even then 80% of the time, we don't even yell or whine or cry. Actually a lot of the time, we just laugh or go 'Uh...no..' 2. Yes, it can be offensive. They are based off the countries, they are showing the history. Hetalia IS based off history. That is the point of Hetalia, to show history and the countries, in a way that is fun and make people want to learn. Not toally insult the countries, just so you can have hot Yaou. And yes, shipping two countries who hate each other, can be offensive. Like my mouth dropped one day, when I saw someone going on about how 'hot' America x Cuba was. Do you not realize, how offensive that is? Shipping two countries, who have weapons pointed at each other. 3. I don't think people realize how offensive it is to just treat pairings like a game. For fun, fanart, and doujinshi. Hot guys making out and having sex. Do you not realize, how offensive that is for real homosexual coupels? You are pretty much, telling them, they are good for nothing but hot sex. That they are just there for fun and to look at. That lesbians are gross, and gay couples are better, because they are hotter. That heterosexual couples are boring. You are being offensive, you are insulting them. because you, are treating love as a game. As something that something you should fun around. It is offensive, and frankly, almost rude.

peach-sama662 I agree with you. I did have my time with that kinda stuff but I came to my Sences and stopped :3 my solution to fan wars is I ship both .-. And if I don't ship it then I just state the positives about the pairing I don't ship :3 but yes some times I ignore it too :3

All you will gain is the label of being a douche and a troll. Seriously. Why do people make such a big deal out of pairings, when the main thing in Hetalia is NOT about pairings? Seriously. It's for our own enjoyment. Hetalia was NOT made for shipping. And it's so sad how people treat it as if shipping is everything. It's clearly not. And honestly, shipping pairings won't affect our future. We're all eventually gonna grow up and mature and forget about this anime. I want to enjoy this anime in peace. Why do people choose to bash when they can choose to be a better person? Why do they choose that path? I just don't understand why they want to be a basher. And really, I think it's pretty crazy to start a war over a fictional pairing and an anime. Honestly. You may say that shipping two characters are offensive, but like Snickerz said, they aren't the REAL actual countries. They are anime characters. If we shipped them together, it's not like we're actually making it canon. But all the bashers out there don't seem to get it. They act like we're magically making it canon. When we're not. We ship what we ship, and it's not like we force them down other people's throats. (Unlike some people....) I've seen a lot of people say that starting shipping wars are pointless, crazy, stupid, etc. etc. all over the internet. It's just so sad that someone would go so far to bash someone over an anime. And it makes me pity them. They think they're doing something better for the anime, but isn't one of the messages of Hetalia world peace? If they truly liked Hetalia, they wouldn't try to pick a fight. I guess they are just too obsessed with this anime to notice the message, too busy bashing on others. Anyways, I just hope that they learn what they're doing is a bad thing, and hopefully they'll mature and stop what they're doing.

videogamergirl This is an awesome article :) I actually respect all yaoi fans. Yeah, I don't like UsUk and I find it gross, but I don't go around saying "INCEST!" because that's not right. Keep the comments to yourself. Lol do what I do and right in your journal about the fan or fandom you don't like, but don't post it on the internet. One, it's offensive, two, you'll get nothing but hate as a comeback.
