How did you discover Hetalia?

I watched an amv and there was this super hot guy =^^= So I researched a bit and now I know even more hot guys!

I asked a question on the anime spot and I got alot of Hetalia answers. I later asked "What is Hetalia?" and I quickly got alot of positive answers and so I decided to watch it. Luckily I found it on NETFLIX and started lmao. Since then, I love the anime but, most of all.....ITALY! <3

Yup i remember how i discovered Hetalia,it was about 7 months ago & i got bored one night so i went on Youtube & typed in funny anime & there it was saying Hetalia:The tomato box fairy XD & i couldn't get enough of it very since!

Through my friend who kept talking about a funny, slightly educational anime with the countries personified as walking stereotypes. I couldn't resist.

My friend talked about it months ago, and I decided to take a look. I didn't liked it then, but like two weeks ago, I gaved it a new chance, and OMG I'm happy that I did!
So it wa trough my best friend that I discovered it. :D

I started watching Hetalia about a year ago. Before that it always crossed my path but I wasn't really interested... so I simply ignored it. Until I gave it a try and watched the first episode. Probably the best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole life. XD I would probably cease to exist if there is no more Hetalia... or I would go berserk... yeah, that's more possible ^w^

Well, I first discovered Hetalia through the fandom on Livejournal in 2008, but I didn't really know much about it or get into it until 2009. (That's when I made this club, actually!) Fun times.

My friends who watched it first starting assigning everyone countries, so I watched it to figure out why the heck they were calling me "Japan". XD

It was when I decided to make icons of Hungary for Trainofdoom. I was curious about the anime, and I decided to watch it.

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE EVER.

I first heard about it in 2008 when I read cartoonchick123 on dA's comics, a parody of APH, "Axis Religious Powers." Later that month I was at my Mad4Manga club, and some nerdy asian girls started squealing and demanded access to the Smart Board, and everyone to gather around the librarian's desk to watch the first episode of Hetalia. They were laughing hysterically about everything anyone said, and me and the rest of the group was like

My friend on a gaming forum kept talking about it, and I was like what is this shit?! So I decided to watch the first episode but I didn't know what the hell was going on so I gave up.

Then like almost a year and a half later I decided to watch it again, and I was like this isn't bad. And now I am obsessed. I need more Hetalia merchandise though..

My Cyber Bro Silvaze_Reborn Told Me About It One Time, He Asked Me: Do you watch hetalia? And i never heard of it before, So he showed me america then, And that`s when my love for america began! Plus, Then my friend kitmolly123 linked me the first episode in english, and it was totally badass funny! So yeah, That`s how i discovered hetalia.

I was browsing deviantArt for Shimejis ( these chibi things running around your desktop) and there were a ton of hetalia Shimejis with countries so I tried typing hetalia Greece etc to see how the characters looked like and I was just getting into anime and I thought an anime with personifications of countries was pretty cool o researched it and starter watching and now I am obsessed. My 11 yr old sister tried watching with me one day and now the result Is she wakes me up in the middle of the night wearing red a long coat and a tie screaming I am denmark or scaring her classmate by going kolkolkolkol :P and she is only 11 now I am too depressed my laptop broke down and I can't watch hetalia :'(

then i read some comments about 'hearing england and not sasuke'
so i wanted to watch the show (because it has nontan in it and i love his voice)
couple of episodes later history class became A LOT more fun for me :3

My ultimate-Hetalia-fan friend recommended me this anime. She kept on pestering me to watch this 'coz she said we can really relate to this anime 'coz we both like World History. After a year of her blabbering about Hetalia, I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did.

no joke, one day i was on funimation cuz i felt like watching Chobits (ahh, old memories...) when suddenly a commercial comes up about Hetalia. At first i thought i was about either a bunch of guys going to italy or a bunch of guys from italy going somewhere. And that's when I watched it online. Man, i was WAY off... :3

I discovered Hetalia through a dear friend of mine who cosplays as Prussia. <3 So i searched it and totally LOVE it!

Oh, and my friend is one of the most awesome Prussia cosplayers out there! His uniform is AMAZING! <3

My friend said she was obsessed with this Anime and gave me the link to the episodes page from an anime site. I watched it and I got into a GIANT FANGIRL. XD

I'm serious, that's pretty much exactly how it went.

My friends.
They kept spazzing and going crazy over Hetalia on Facebook and at school.
So I decided to check it out.

My friend and I were talking about a con and what voice actors were going to be there. She brought up Todd Haberkorn and how he plays Italy in Hetalia. She told me the show was about WW2, so I figured, "Oh, must be a pretty serious anime." Wow, I was dead wrong. O^O And now it's her fault that I'm addicted Hetalia XP

I discovered it last summer; at first I'd watch some clips as a guilty pleasure, then I sat through one of the episodes. I was hooked!
A few months later, I am now in the possession of both seasons of Axis Powers, Paint it White, a allies wallet and shirt, an America plush, and a keychain with the Axis on it.

Well in 2010 or late 2009, I was looking up something about Sonic the Hedgehog fan characters (Sonic was my obsession at the time), and it led me to a website called Memegen.net.
The most popular quiz on that site was something that said "Hetalia", and I clicked on it. At first I was like "WTF? How can you imagine countries doing this stuff like people?" (I used to imagine countries as blob things like on the maps.)
But I never looked up Hetalia at that time.

Then in November 11, 2011 I was on Quizilla and one of the most popular quizzes was about Hetalia. THEN that was when I finally decided to look it up, and I thought, "Man! I wish I would've looked this up when I first came across it 2 years ago!" >:o
But at least I actually bothered to find out what it was.
And I will never regret it. *Fangirl for life (probably)*

I learned about Hetalia on the internet and it sounded like a fun anime so I tried and now I love it!

I recently discovered Hetalia :3 One of my friends told me to watch this anime show called Hetalia so I watched it and now, I frickin love it man X3!!!

I discovered it after i noticed one of my old NEO magazines had a article about it. I figured since I liked history and geography this would be my sort of thing and it turns out it is ;3

I found out about it through Fanpop. I'm not kidding. .-.

When i first made an account like two weeks ago, i kept on seeing pics of these (hot) dudes and everyone was like "OMG AMERICA I LOOOOOOVE HIM"!! or "GERMANY <333!!!" and i was like "what the heck is this and why r theyre named countries?" so i asked my bro "the anime expert" and he said he never watched it so i jumped at the chance to watch something he hasnt XD (im on a mission to watch all the anime he hasnt seen and gloat about it o3o) anyway im only on episode, like, 30 something XD its pretty funny

I looked up the national anthem of Prussia, and I saw comments about an anime called Hetalia. Since I love anime, I looked it up. It turned out to be the greatest anime ever and I was so surprised that I hadn't been told about it before!

The random club. There was a question that said "Which country has the hottest guys" and some other ones so I thought I should watch it and now I love it!!!!!

Through plz accounts on deviantART. I was obsessed with those things and then I began to discover Hetalia plz accounts and learned about the fandom, characters, anime, webcomic and manga reading comments and watching fanarts. It was beautiful. Oooh, I'm feeling the nostalgia now.
Well, it was around August of 2010.
Then I watched the anime (in Japanese) the first day of my first convention (in February of 2011) when I came back home after the convention ended that day. I only watched 3 episodes and I was fascinated and excited about watching the entire series. LOL, I loved how I expected the characters having certain voices and became totally shocked when I watched it ( *´w`) I had a good laugh that time. The next day (the second and last day of the convention) there was a grupal cosplay contest at wich, to my surprise, assisted a Hetalia cosplay group that won the contest and was going to represent our state at the national cosplay contest. I recognized every one of the characters! >w<
Then, in April of that year we went to my grandma's house in Mexico City and I borrowed my cousin's computer for a while, where I read the manga and the webcomic for the first time.
[And I'd also like to add that there were various yaoi fanarts in Rule34 that helped, too xD Obviously after the plz accounts thing happened. If I could put hardcore images in this website...]

Back then, I was totally obsessed with Vocaloid (sorta still am though) and I found a UsUk duet of their Vocaloid version singing Bad Apple. At first, I thought it was weird (especially America's since the pitch was kinda awkward). So, I skipped that video. Then a few months later, it was Halloween and my friend and I got together that afternoon. While we were trick or treating, she started saying something about Hetalia and then she freaked out that I didn't know what it was, so when I went back to her house right after, she showed me her Hetalia CD. And that's pretty much where things started XD

I discovered it when I woke up one morning and saw my, sister downloading episodes. When they were finished, she showed them to my brother and I wanted to see. After that she went to the living room to eat and I was really curious about the anime and started watching episode 1 ( she showed my brother episode 20 so I didn't understand what was happening).

I was bored and then (cause I'm Chinese) typed China in google images and it suggested 'China Hetalia'
The word sounded funny so I clicked it and found this picture and then started watching Hetalia

Well it started of as a harmless sleepover at my best friends house. She lied saying she didn't get any new anime...

In the end she couldn't hold it in an confessed that she bought Hetalia... yeah i was like " ah what now?"

Yup to this point i've only seen bits and pieces of it, but i will be watching it soon! XD
