Bellatrix and Lovett, but Bellatrix was how I came to like her. I heard of her before that but Bella was the character that made me really start likeing Helena.

I think it made her more famous because of how well she portrayed the character and also that Harry Potter is a very popular series and she has probably grown more likeable through HP.But I also think Mrs.Lovett made her more popular as well.

It made her more famous in America for sure. I didn't know about her until Bellatrix Lestrange and now she's my facourite of all time

Well I first saw her in Merlin(..think I was nine) and afterwards in some of the Tim-Burton-stuff when I was a gothic kid. When you like Tim Burton there's no way of not noticing her hahaha

But she became much more popular through the HP-movies.
Harry Potter is the most successful book of all time if you don't count the bible. So the movies have been seen by millions of people too.

I agree.. I saw some of her work before, but not everything is shown her. So thanks to Harry Potter I got into her earlier work
