Helena Bonham Carter Question

The King's Speech Rating.

Has everyone heard about the new PG-13 rating? Does that mean they are going to take out the whole cussing scene?

I saw a commercial/trailer for it a while back, and I too was surprised at the PG-13 rating.

I personally didn't think it deserved to be rated R, I mean, the swearing scene wasn't too long, and didn't use too many really bad words. I mean, I've seen worse movies, with worse swearing and more explicit content, and they weren't rated R, just PG-13. I mean, I found it pretty ridiculous to rate the whole movie R over that one little scene, which wasn't even that big of a deal.

I'm hoping that they've just wised up and realized that the movie doesn't deserve to be rated R, because it would suck if they edited the movie. I think this idea sort of makes sense, since without the swearing scene, the movie doesn't rally have anything else bad in it that would give it a PG-13 rating.

And what is an "R"-rating all about? what does that mean? In Germany you have age restrictions for movies..is it something like that? We have "Without agerestriction" "for 6 year old" "for 12 year old" "for 16 year old" "only for 18 and above" and most of my favourite Helena- movies are "12" here in Germany

R-rated movies are movies where only people who are 16 and up can go into without an adult.
