What is it with all of the comparison typed content all over the internet between Twilight and Harry Potter?

Well I suppose they can be compared by their levels of success--but not really--harry potter is on another level.

And as a story, it's like comparing a coloring book to a good novel. Apples and oranges people.

In Harry Potter JK Rowling creates a whole other universe for readers to lose themselves in. Stephanie Meyer on the other hand has just slapped together a barely readable teenage fantasy.

RL. Stines Goosebumps books are more engagnig that Twilight for Pete's sake.

I have watched one of the Twilight movies and didn't find it enjoyable at all. What is so enjoyable about watching an ungrateful teenage protagonist that does little more than moan and complain? Nothing.

thenovelguy Yes but it has something to do with Harry Potter. Anyway, If I could move it I would. If you can you should. But I think it's fine here as it is still related to HP.

I know that it relates to HP, but since you are talking about the 2 series, it would be better suited to a spot that compares and debates them both. [i]But[/i]. if you don't move it, I would be happy to debate what you wrote on here.

hpandpjo I agree! DO NOT COMPARE! Just doesn't feel right.

Flickerflame All they seem to have in common is one shared actor and the fact that the sixth HP film and third Twilight film were released around the same time. I really don't get the comparison hype either.

Sorry About this I actually published the whole thing so far previously but removed it because it was too long so I will be putting up 3 chapters at a time from now on.

This is only temporary and the beginnings of a MASSIVE fan fic. So can you just tell me if you like it? That would be great! :)

DISCLAIMER - I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters. I do own Alex, though.

Note - It’s based on a sort of mixture between the book and the movie, but the characters’ appearances and personalities are more like the adaptions in the movie.
