4:00 A.M., Weasley House

''It was like..sadness took over everything. There was no light at all, Dad. It was scary.''
I look at my parents and see their faces, their expressions hard to read. All I can tell that what I have said is not good: My mother is pulling on her long, bushy hair nervously.
''And, you're sure it was a Dementor? Not just a shadow, a dream, or a prank pulled by your brother?'' My father throws a look at Hugo, and it has If this is a joke it's not funny written all over it.
''I'm sure. I know it wasn't my imagination.''

''Fine, then. We'll talk to Harry and Ginny in the morning. For now.. get some sleep.''

I nod, and Hugo nods, and my parents leave the room. Hugo goes back to his bed and immediately falls into sleep - however I cannot. All I can think of is that haunting face, how it had nothing but black. I try to go to sleep, but I can't.

All I want is for morning, or more importantly, light.

7:00 A.M., Weasley House

I assume I can get up when I hear the sounds of my mother cooking. When I walk downstairs I see Harry, Ginny, James, Lily, and Albus all at my breakfast table. It's cramped, but nobody seems to mind. There are murmurs of talk, but I can barely hear them. Their voices are so low, I know they're talking about last night.
''Hi,'' I say softly.
All of them look up, none of them know what to say. I walk over to the table and take one of the last empty chairs.
''What's the hot topic this morning?'' I try to ask casually, but it comes out more with a smart attitude.
''Nothing,'' My father says briskly, and everyone can tell that there will be no more of the discussion about this while I'm around.
''Well.. finally! You're up! Can we go into the living room and..'' Lily's voice trails off, not sure what to finish her sentence with.
''Can we go outside and play Quidditch?'' James asks. ''It's too cramped in here.''
''Yes, go. We'll let you eat breakfast outside and Hugo can play with you when he wakes up.'' My mother's voice is calm, but firm, and when she looks at me with pain and sorrow, all I want is for this to all be a dream.
We walk outside, it only being 7:00 A.M. but the sun is out and there isn't a cloud in the sky. Perfect weather for Quidditch.
Albus gets the old brooms out and we all start thinking of positions and who will be on what team. We finally decide that it's going to be Albus and James versus Lily and I. Lily may be only eleven, but she's strong. I know this because when James insists on taking the ''better'' brooms, Lily hits him so hard that he looks like he might cry.

Albus seems to find that funny.

We go up into the air and all I can see is Albus and Lily throwing the Quaffle into homemade rings my brother and I made at least 3 years ago. I have the duty of looking for the Snitch. I'm looking so long that I almost think that James and Al are going to win, when suddenly, I hear a buzz by my ear.
I look over and - there it is. I go to grab it, but it flies away and I zoom over, and now James sees me flying and he's following, and I'm flying quickly, and now James is flying quickly, and everyone's flying quickly, when suddenly I hear Lily scream:
''LOOK OUT!'' At first I have no idea what she's talking about, but then I realize I'm headed straight for Hugo. How did he get outside and I not notice? I jerk my broom up fast, and almost fall to the ground. I notice that the Snitch is no longer in my sight, so I look around and see that James has it.
Damn. ''Well, I guess you won, then.'' James has some sort of smirk on his face, a look that reads We beat you.
''Yeah, guess we did..'' He says, still with that stupid smirk on his face. He high fives Al and as Lily flies down, she's fuming, but concerned at the same time. ''How did you win?! Ugh. Whatever. Game won.'' She shakes hands with James, the other ''team captain'', and then turns to me.
''You okay?'' She asks, and I can tell she's not just asking about how I almost fell off my broom. She's talking about how a Dementor came into my room last night, and scared the living hell out of me.
''Yeah, and.. no.'' Everyone's looking at me now, and they all look concerned.
''Dad said that you saw a Dementor last night.'' Albus is blunt, cuts to the chase.
''It's true, then?'' I nod, and Hugo looks down at the grass.
''Told you she wasn't lying,'' James hisses, and Albus blushes.
''It's okay, really,'' I say, because it's not Albus's fault. ''I honestly wouldn't want to believe me either.''
Then it's silent, and no one wants to say anything.
''We should go inside for breakfast,'' Lily whispers, and we all leave it at that.
Inside, Harry, Ginny, Mum, and Dad are still talking about what happened. There is no sign of breakfast made, or even started. But nobody really cares, we're not hungry anyway.
Harry tries to lighten the mood. ''So, you guys excited for going back to Hogwarts? Only 2 days left till you all leave.''
''Ecstatic,'' James replies sarcastically. For the first time in what feels like an eternity, I smile.
''Lose the attitude, James.'' And I suddenly see where Lily gets her strength - her mother. Harry is strong, but Ginny's empowering, and when she speaks, people listen.
''Well, I am,'' Lily says. ''I'm going to be taking all the same subjects except Divination this year, I practically failed that.''
''Who doesn't fail that?'' Hugo mutters, and this time I actually laugh.
''I'm surprised that's even a subject,'' Harry says. ''If Hermione didn't pass it, nobody should.''
And at this, everyone in the room laughs, because the thought of Hermione Granger-Weasley failing a class is utterly hilarious.
''I never said I didn't pass, I just didn't like it!'' My mother blushes, and looks like she might pass out from embarrassment.
At this moment, life almost seems normal. Like something/someone didn't float into my room last night, like everything is peaceful.

I wish it could stay like this forever.

Author's Note: Okay, so, before I start with this, let me say this is the first Harry Potter fanfic I've written in a while, so excuse any errors! And I'm sorry if any of my grammar was wrong, I really did try to make it readable. For anyone that didn't understand my writing, the story is in Rose (Weasley)'s POV. Oh, and if you didn't understand what the problem is, don't feel like you missed it, I sorta hinted at it instead of saying it straight out. I'll work to get Chapter 2 up ASAP! Also, I know it has no title, but I'm working on it. Oh, and thanks to my two amazing friends Bre and Maryam for reading this over for me! :)

Harry Potter in my opinion is not just a story. It's an amazing experience that you can relive over and over again, whitout ever being tired of it.
I first read it when i was in primary school. Not older than eleven, right then. I was in a crisis for a good book, and there it was, delicately lying on a shelve with it's beautiful cover, roaring red. Obviously, it was the fourth tome. But I didn't realise it right then, so i bought it. Once I started it, i couldn't seem to stop. That book went with me everywhere: at school, in the bus, on the train. I couldn't think about anything else, amazed...
