Which house was Gilderoy Lockhart in?

Does it mention anything about it in the book? Cuz I dont know/remember... I was thinking maybe Hufflepuff, but then I thought, "Would a Hufflepuff really take credit for what others have done?". Sooo if you know plz tell me!!
