It's so sad how he spent his entire adult life blaming himself for his sister's death and then had to duel the Grindelwald, the man he loved, because he was a dangerous dark wizard. He devoted his life to getting equal rights for everybody and fighting dark magic, he's a very kindhearted person. Carlisle is a good man but really, what has he done outside of being a doctor and getting a few teenage meyerpires to stop eating humans. He could've devoted his immortal life to making scientific discoveries and finding cures for horrible diseases but instead went for just being a doctor. Carlisle can be all of those things, but I never heard him say a wise line that guides a character like "Do not pity the dead Harry, pity the living, and above all, those who live without love" No. Carlisle for Eddy = He gives him a home (and money), he's the authorotive figure/ cover-up for him being 100-and-some, he gives him advice, cares for him, and is a friend. Dumbledore for Harry = He consoles him, he teaches him, he cares for him,he's the one person Harry can always count on, he gives Harry advice, lets him prove himself, he forgives him, he trusts him, he treats him nearly like an equal while the age difference is pretty big. posted over a year ago.

Who else besides Harry has the guts and skills to take on Voldemort? I know Carlisle saved most of the Cullens lives, but for what purpose? If I was dying, I would want to die on my own terms. Not be turned into a monster so I can live forever. What fun is it watching everyone around you die? Not to mention not being able to reproduce. I would love to be a mom some day, and being a vampire wouldn't give me that choice.
