This article was actually wriiten by an ex-twilighter(iloveyoudarling), not me, and i dont like the way she wrote it, cuz it is kinda rude, but i posted it so that maybe some twilighters here could consider giving harry potter a chance because the article proves that even though you love twilight there COULD be a better book out there:
Dear Twilight fans,

I was you one day. Addicted to Twilight and couldnt ever stop reading it even if i had already read it 4 times. But trust me on this one will you. READ ANOTHER BOOOK!!! AFTER YOU DO THAT TWILIGHT WILL SEEM LIKE A STUPID ROMANCE STORY.

After I had read Twilight saga about 8 times i read Harry Potter.

And all i can say is whoa!!

1. harry potter has a plot line that has never been used before.
2. twilight was a very easy read. simple sentences. i could write it
3. harry potter uses some imagination.
4. if edward wasnt sexy, everyone would be creeped out by him
5. harry potter>twilight

HARRY POTTER;
The most well thought out books you could ever read. There are SEVEN and each one is just as good as the one before. They go together perfectly. J.K. Rowling is a women that has a huge imagination and is tremendously creative. Okay Just Think About It. She wrote Harry Potter without any help. And everythingis made up. Try writing a story like that. How many copies would you sell? 100? 1000? Well she sold 11 million copies the first day the last book came out? Could an average person do that? I dont think so.

TWILIGHT;
Wow. I'm pretty sure it's mostly smitten teenage girls who think Twilight is better. The writing is low grade, the plot is simple and Bella as the main character doesn't compare to Harry as a main character. She's so flippin supid. And the way it ended, omg, not even a fight. Anyways, you can't compare four books about a sappy weak teenager in love with a vampire to a 7 novel masterpiece with growing plots and characters. Harry Potter has so much more depth. And it appeals to males and females alike.

Bookaholics I don't mean to be rude, and I do agree with you, but some of this is rather inaccurate. Harry Potter has a plot that's never been used before? Actually, the basic plot is a relatively standard one for modern fantasy. I don't mean to say it's bad, it's a plot that gets used a lot because it's a good one, but it's not exactly original. Twilight only appeals to sappy teenage girls? That's quite an assumption. Yes, that's a large part of the fanbase, but there are adults who like Twilight, and some boys. And for the record, not ending with a fight is not nesecarily a bad thing. There are tons of good books that don't end with fights, even fantasy ones. And while it can work, ending with a fight is sometimes just a way out of writing a good ending. (The battle in HP was very good, though.) I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just some constructive criticism.

taisa I think i can relate to you(iloveyoudarling) in a way. I think if i had read twilight first, i would have love it and think nothing about harry potter. Sure after i read twilight i was like 'WHOA'..HOT!!..but even when i said those words Harry Potter was still number one in mind cos i read it first, and plus it was just the best series!! And even though i thought twilight was COOL i never touched it ever again. Dont know why! And that goes for the rest of the twilight saga! I read them and liked them but never read them again..(I still dont know why)And ive got the whole series stacked up my shelf, untouched. Unlike Harry Potter i read them over and over again.

Renesemee717 i TOTALLY agree with u, Bookaholics PirateNinja3815, this article is just opinions and, like Bookaholics said, not all true Mrs-Grint, i have "seen" u before and u said the s. meyer's head thing before some people can get very offended by that and think bad of u (which i am sure is not true) though i have 2 admit, i love twilight, but harry potter was good (i just love romance)

Bookaholics I actually agree with her opinion, but I think all articles should be critiqued based on the writing, not if you agree with them. Plus, I think HP fans are sometimes kind of unfair to Twilight.

So,HP is more adventurous like some Twilight fans claim did not. and just u know,ending with a fight is a good way of writing because the main characters inside it fight & sacrifice everything for theirs' & beloved ones' future.Happiness can be obtained by hardworks.I'm sorry but whats the point of gathering all vampires clans around the world just to have a cosy talk about a baby girl.They could have just record their videos or statements to prove Nessie wasn't guilty.They are wasting the clans' past times. by the way,not trying to offend u too.You sound like a reasonable fan,its rare to find a Twilighters like u. :)

You said that you love romance, does this mean that you dont believe there is romance in hp? and bookaholics- ins not the fact that twilight didn't end in a fight seance, its that SMeyers built up to this big fight... and i fell flat, while harrys followed thought goodbye for now

mina_sit i used to be a fan of twilight but only for 5 months then the obssesion was started to fading and i started to wondering "why the f*ck i like this shit? harry potter is way better". then i watched dracula(1992), i remind that vampires are not sparkle and when i saw the twilight thing for another point of view i realised how the mass media has almost f*cked up my mind... i am an ex-twilight fun just like iloveyoudarling and i agree with her. i recommand to people to start read also some classic literature
