You did scecificly say "majority" and it was the subject of your scentence. You know a girl you think to be shallow, and a few people here comment on the aesthetic features present in Twilight, so the majority of the millions of fans on Earth must be shallow? I'm just making a guess here, but I think it's safer (safer, not safe) to assume (because that's what we're both doing here) that there are more people who like the Twilight series for more interpersonal, emotional reasons. When asked on the spot to defend your admiration for these books (which happens all the time... It's very annoying), it's a lot easier and convenient to give an answer like that than to say "It gives me the confidence to stand up for what I believe in through the internal conflict portrayed by... blah blah blah" or "It has a substantial plot, organized in such a way that every detail... blah blah blah", without having someone say "Yeah right. They sparkle. Dracula didn't sparkle. Bella and Stephenie look the same. Edward is 109 years old. Lauren is blonde and mean, so Stephenie hates blondes." and all that nonsense. Then, you're expected to reply to this and run your mouth off until you're out of breath, then you're told "Yeah right, *the same thing they said last time*" Giving a shallow answer causes you to give snide remarks, then give snide remarks and give up, right? It looks like strategy to me. But whatever, I think I went off topic. I'm sure those reasons given aren't the only reasons that girl likes the series. As for me, I only comment on apperance when told to. When asked "who looks better _____". When asked a question like that, it's acceptable to mention what features are most aesthetically pleasing to you. (these questions are asked so often here) so if it bothers you to see those comments here, be sure to double check the question before you judge.

Actually, the majority were in that world, because the vegetarians were those who went against the grain. This, again, was Stephanie putting a spin on the lore. 5. That is your opinion. 1-2vampire I've encountered more than just that one, that was an example. The amount of fans that fight over "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob." in fact, to be perfectly honest I posted this because I was bored and I like to see friction. And I was tired. But if I posted all of the examples, it would've taken too much time and I was too tired to find them all. But that was just one example, just because I don't give more than one example doesn't mean there aren't any. Of course she didn't base her entire pro Twilight argument off of looks, but also materialistic things such as cars, and a wedding and baby happens in a lot of stories, it doesn't mean it's a good story. In general I don't mind Twilight, if it wasn't for the fans that judge off looks, I know a lot don't, but there are some, I didn't mean to say majority, remember, I was tired, it was late, bad excuse but, yeah. I did say there are shallow HP fans, shallow Narnia, Lord of the Rings fans, but you don't see them a lot because the majority of what I see (what I see, note), don't go on to argue that their series is better because the characters are hotter. While I do agree that this person is clearly shallow, that doesn't mean that Shallow Fans are a huge issue. As far as I've seen, a majority of the people on this spot are NOT shallow, and always back up their opinions with good, solid reasons. PotterForever I agree with this. I've come in contact with a lot of people who base their opinions of twilight entirely on the physical apperence of the characters, as well as shallow insignifigant things (shiny volvo, they have a baby ect.) No, not all Twilight fans are like this, in fact, MANY are not, but there seem to be a lot who come up with these types of reasons. And the same goes for a lot of different things, not just Twilight. I'm sure most Twilight fans are not like this, but I've met quite a few who are.
