I don't care what anyone says - there was some serious eye f***ing going on during this scene coming from both of them, and I truly believe that if she hadn't turned away, they would have kissed.

Now I'm not saying that the kiss would have led to the bed would have led to more (though I like to believe that), I'm just saying that there def would have been a kiss. After said kiss they could have decided it wasn't a good idea to continue, but there is no doubt in my mind that there would have been a kiss if they had continued looking at each other the way they were.

It was so cool

But it couldn't happen nonetheless.

I agree with OnlyHarmioneHJP!! The scene was presented in a way to show that Harry wanted to kiss her! He just didn't stop looking at her! Even when she turned away he still had his eyes on her and you could see his disappointment when it didn't lead into something more! He was determined to go for it!!!

Thanks detty4ever! And you're right! I noticed that he never takes his eyes off her! Even when he's taking the horcrux off her neck - they just keep staring at each other!! It's so intense!! Def would have led to a kiss...

YES! Intense is the right word! Everything in that scene is like that! Intense sadness. intense happiness, intense eye sex!!! Especially in that moment that you referred to, I see not just deep feelings, but also some kind of acceptance of their situation. In other words, I feel as if they accept that there's something between them stronger than friendship..something that they've been avoiding and now is the time to deal with it..if that makes any sense!

David Yates (aka the best Harmony troll) even talked about it in a youtube vid 50 greatest HP moments. The way Harry looked at her when he took off the horcrux made me think maybe we'd get a kiss lol

I will just confirm what everybody else said. HE WANTED TO KISS HER ! You can see that since the begging of the scene, the way he looked at her. I think he sort of realised he may be having feelings for her and he was determined to try and clear them up. But then she turned away. Well that was the producers idea so... But everybody should understand that he wanted to kiss her.

Absolutely!! And detty4ever, that makes TOTAL sense! and delenaisluv, David Yates is DEFINITELY the best Harmony troll ever!!! We have him to thank for almost all the Harmony moments we get in these films, especially the dance scene, which was his own creation. It's good to know there was at least one Harmony fan on set coming through for us underdogs!

Also, I agree with Robsten as well. I think this scene spells out once and for all, without a doubt, that Harry and Hermione have something deep down for each other that is undeniable. Because thier friendship is so strong and important to the both of them, it was their choice to either act on or ignore whatever was bubbling under the surface, but with this scene most of all we absolutely know that something is bubbling, uncovered or not.
