I see my dad pull into the driveway after adopting a brother for me. I see him wearing a Cardinals jersey, and I know he likes baseball. Perhaps he even likes rugby. I continue with my work, plowing the fields after the potatoes have been picked. Then my dad calls for me. As I get towards his truck I talk to my new brother, then I'm shocked at what he says. "Hello, I'm George." It's not what he said that shocked me, it's how he said it. I have an american brother, that's bloody great, not! I then have to teach him how to plow the fields, "We've got another horse with a plow, so get him ready after I teach you." He seems interested, and I don't know why. I don't know if he grew up on a farm like me, but he sounds like he was from California. They have some farms there, but they're way different then what I have to do. "Thanks." he says, and walks away. I will admit, he is good at plowing fields, but I still don't like him. Six hours later, it's night. I'm on my laptop talking to my friends on facebook while playing Car Town, and then my dad arrives. "What do you think of your new brother?" He asks. "I don't know. I wasn't expecting an american." I said. Then dad starts to get serious, "You know why he's here. I have a lot of people to pay for working on here, and I don't have much money." "Fire them." I exclaim. "I can't do that. They're hard workers with no home. If I fire them, they might go on strike." said my dad, "They're about to go on strike if you don't pay them." I add. Then my dad gets confused, and walks away. He's holding his head in his hand, I don't know why. If he wants people to work for free, why doesn't he adopt more kids? Maybe even girls! I swear my dad is an imbecule. Not only is my new brother an american, but his name is George! He is bound to screw something up.
