What is the point of Nate this season.....ok he has a good storyline coming up with serena and Jenny....but hasn't he been there done that?

In my opinion, the directors can be pretty blind/stupid. Maybe they think fans like Nate's "love" storylines. OR maybe they think it's a good storyline. Who knows? I thought they finally opened their eyes, when I heard spoilers about NS being a couple. And those Ed/Leight/Blake/Chace pics on set - NJBC reunion! I thought they finally got it all right, if not perfect, but no, they just had to ruin NS by Jenny. It's not that I hate Nenny, I actually quite love them. But I prefer NS to Nenny (and VDB, AKA Carter & Serena).

I think he's still at Columbia. Not positive though. I think he just spends a lot of time with Dan...and I guess now Serena too. And in the city, etc. Maybe he has Mondays off, or w/e? IDK.

But all in all to this long/semi-long explanation of mine, I do agree. It's just the same old story[line]. But I guess Serenate fans might as well enjoy NS's time together as a couple; and Nenny fans with the short time Nate "goes back" to Jenny.

See I actually think theyve been alot better about giving him SLs this season. Like the him taking the fall for something Tripp's wife did. And Ive found that I like him being the "advice" guy. Serena went to him and Dan went to him. Trip should have went to him lol. And then of course now there is the Jenny/Serena sl. Im a huge Serenate fan so Im very excited about that and I felt like it was completely in character for him to tell Trip to stay away from Serena, because he is the show's Knight in shining armor. Actually, he is my favorite character this season.

I feel he has gotten his hands dirty this season. When everyone thought he'd staged Trip's rescue attempt and when he "fake" helped Carter in 3x06
