Caine and Diana! Astrid and Sam have known each other for a WEEK, then they go all, "I love you"? Huh?

Caine and Diana are just purely adorable.

sam and astrid are so adorable but i have to say that caine and diana are just perfect! they have a much better story behind their romance too.

The ending of light madee feel so sad for them, and their relationship hasn't been easy, there has been tons of minipulation, and using eachother, and taking eachother for granted and treating eachother badly. But they've always come through when it counted. Diana saved Caine after he went to the darkness, and Caine saved Diana from Drake, and the Cliff, and Sacrificed himself to little pete so that she could live, and get out of the fayz, and continue her life without him. And in their relationship, it's a kind of power struggle that their both winning, caine has raw power and Diana needs him for protection but Diana also uses him, and stops him when he goes to far, and is the only person who has any power over him. And she is strong enough to leave him in Plaugue when he lies to her, and chooses being kind of the FayZ over staying with her and becoming a better person. And they truely care about eachother, and love eachother throughout everything. Their both messed up, and they have done some messed up stuff (caine especially) but they kinda redeem themselves through eachother and become better. By light there is no minipulation or power struggle, it's just the two of them supporting eachother at the end of Caines life. Their story was one of the best parts of the book for me, it's amazing. I really Wish that they got a better ending. They deserved to be happy at least.

Sam and Astrid on the other hand got together right away, were all perfect and lovey dovey, then Astrid shames San for not being a hero, and Sam blackmails and abandonded Astrid for not having sex with him and then they have sex and then everything's perfect and they live happily ever after. I hate that they get so much focus in the story when couples I really liked like Edilio and Roger had barely any. The series even ended with them together when they had done nothing important that whole book.
