"Almost perfect...but not quite."
Those were the words of Mary Hume
At her seventh birthday party,
Looking 'round the ribboned room.
"This tablecloth is pink not white--
Almost perfect...but not quite."

"Almost perfect...but not quite."
Those were the words of grown-up Mary
Talking about her handsome beau'
The one she wasn't going to marry.
"Squeezes me a bit too tight--
Almost perfect...but not quite."

Ninety-eight the day she died
Complainin' 'bout the spotless floor.
People shook their heads and sighed.
"Guess that she'll like heaven more."
Up went her soul on feathered wings,
Out the door, up out of site.
Another voice from heaven came--
"Almost perfect...but not quite."

This is a story about God. Read if you believe in him, and read even if you don't.

A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway...

"God's Wheel"

God says to me with kind of a smile,
"Hey how would you like to be God awhile
And steer the world?"
"Okay," says I, "I'll give it a try.
Where do I set?
How much do I get?
What time is lunch?
When can I quit?"
"Gimme back that wheel," says God,
"I don't think you're quite ready yet."

"Prayer of the selfish child"

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my toys to break.
So none of the other kids can use 'em...
Amen.

This is what happened to me when I was 4 years old, it's a true short story.

I was 4 years old walking in my backyard, me and my sister were going up the stone wall in the backyard. We went to the top of a small hill beside it and I said, "I'm the king of the world!" and taking up the warm summer breeze, then my feet went tippy-toe and like a feather, I fell. My sister tried to grab my hands to drag me up, but missed. I fell on my head and saw a beam of light under me, like the kind you see on a sunny day inside. I landed on my head, I closed my eyes and opened them, I was ok, my mom, dad, and sister looked at me. "Are you ok?" my sister asked. "Yeah." I said, stood up, and got on the swing.

That's my story, I was rescued by our Lord, has this happened to you once?

When I was only 10 my parents got saved by the lord and I didn't believe because I didn't feel his wonderful love. I was always wondering what was going to happen to me when I died or when I get hurt, so one day my parents took me to church to understand that there is a lord. I still didn't believe, but that day at church I got prayed for by a pastor. When he was praying I felt tingles and god spoke to me, he told me that he loves me, I felt his love, mhis righteous in describable love, that he put in my heart. That is when I got saved

God is bigger than any problem.
God in you is greater than any difficulty you have to meet.
God cares for you more than it is possible for any human being to realize.
God can help you in proportion to the degree in which you worship him.
You worship God by really putting your trust in him instead of in outer conditions,
or in fear, or in depression, or in seeming dangers, and so forth.
You worship God by recognizing his presence everywhere,
in all people and conditions that you meet; and by praying regularly.
You pray well when you pray with joy.

Why does it hurt to know what others don't?
Who is to know?
My heart is laying upon the floor,
shattered and broken.

I knew what no one else would know,
but to share my knowledge
would be unspeakable.
Ignorance leads them,
thinking leads me.

My friends have left.
Glaring at me with anger.
"Why did you say that?
He will be very angry!"
They snarl.

I walk down to the basement,
My last paradise.
I miss a step and tumble down.
I lay there helpless,
but my thoughts begin to stir.

Death takes its toll.
I was not sent into the clouds,
Nor was it the flames below.
I was left to wonder,
In silence, I walked,

I was happy.
My thoughts had questions
I had answers for them.
Suddenly I knew,
My thoughts were wrong.
Believers were wrong.

We were all wrong

Who am I?
I was thinking about this as I slowly made for my house. There was no one as far as I could see and that made me aware of my own presence. That was the time of twilight which had a beautiful effect on the greenery as well as the buildings that could not be explained in words. Just like answering the question: how much do you love me. A cold breeze whipped past me making my hair flutter. I dig my hands deep in my pockets and sprinted pass the church where a bell ding-donged. The climate was really very pleasant and that tempted me to think about very difficult...

I asked for strength,
And God gave me difficulties to make me strong;

I asked for wisdom,
And God gave me problems to learn to solve;

I asked for prosperity,
And God gave me brain and brawn to work;

I asked for courage,
And God gave me dangers to overcome;

I asked for love,
And God gave me people to help;

I asked for favors,
And God gave me opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted – I received everything I needed.
My prayer has been answered!

This poem was originally written by Swami Vivekananda, an atheist turned believer who later became a spiritual genius of commanding intellect and power, this poem that I posted is different version of that made by: I don't know who, sorry.
I hope this was helpful and inspirational for you as it was for me. :)
