No actually, I think that's done and over with. And plus, after years and years of trying to get it back, do you really think that they'd want to take risks like that? If it did come back, I'm sure, that over time something else that's controversial is bound to come up though.

Im wondering if they might try a different "Easter Egg" like for example when I make invader Zim fan art sometimes I make an Easter egg that says mustard (long story)....also I would like to know if anyone knows why the show was cancelled in the first place I've heard numerous stories like it was cancelled because of Bloody Gir even though Jhonen Vasquez told Nick it was pizza sauce I've heard it wasn't getting the right age group and that Bloody Gir wasn't even discovered until after cancellation you never know with Jhonen Vasquez though his cartooning style isn't predictable. Not to mention a LOT of people say that bloody Gir is myth (but I've caught him myself in "Mortos De Souleater" (in the opening the pipe that comes closest to the screen) as you can see I have many thoughts and questions on this subject but my biggest would have to be why did he target Gir?

IZ was cancelled because it got low ratings. That's probably the fault of bad advertising strategies, and bad time slots. Bloody Gir is not why it was cancelled. Apparently, Nickelodeon hadn't even noticed what they sneaked in until the show was already off the air.

I think Gir was picked because Gir's suppose to be cute. To see something cute and innocent like Gir covered in blood would make a good jump scare, I think. Plus, I've read that it wasn't even blood in the first place, it was ketchup. Since Gir makes a lot of messes, and likes food, it'd be easy to say it was ketchup..

I don't remember why they originally wanted to put bloody Gir in, but from what I know, Jhonen wanted to do stuff of the show that Nick wouldn't allow (like, Iggins dying). Because Nick kept blocking him from doing what he wanted, the crew got cocky and decided to sneak bloody Gir in.
