Kat's pov

Its been a few mouths since Earth had fallen under Irken rule. It was taken over by a small Irken named Zim and two humans who were outcast. Dib and Gaz I believe that's what their names are, I didn't blame them. They were outcast, and I understood that better than most people did. My family didn't understand me and why I wasn't huge on religion like them, my friends used me or back stabbed me, boyfriends broke my heart or cheated on me. Then only things that I have are music, books and my dreams.

I worked at a club on the Massive performing for Irken soldiers and the humans who were off at the time. I rubbed my eyes I hadn't slept in a few days, not because of work. To my surprise Irkens were kinder then one would think or at least the ones I knew. Anyway it was because my boyfriend just dumped me, I will never learn I guess maybe I should be alone.

I laid on my bed trying to rest before I had to go to the club and sing. I rubbed my eyes again, I cried my eyes out and they were dry.

"Why did I think he would be any different from rest?"

I knew the answer he had been there during the invasion he was one of the few 100 that were able to work on the Massive, he had been someone to talk to and was understanding. Then I found that his master was a female Irken and they became romantically involved. I went to him about it and he dumped me on the spot.

I looked at the clock and signed it was time to get to work. I wore a simple dress tonight was blue and green. Mike the manager who I thought of as a friend I don't know if he did for me, but he was waiting for me to come to work. I rubbed my eyes one more time and ran off to the club which in Earth time open at 9:00 p.m. and closed 3:00 a.m. Then it was closed on Sundays the tallest at least gave us that and holidays they were kind to that.

By the way the tallest are the rulers of Irk and all the planets that fell to Irken rule. See unlike most place on Earth who elected their leader or they were born into, the leader of Irk or in this case leaders were based on how tall you were. Now Irk had two tallest right now Red and Purple and yes they red and purple. The two of them were the same height and that way they ruled side by side. It was fine with them since they were best friends, anyway height is what matter to the Irkens.

You see Irken are a small race most only reaching 4 feet, so yes they are a short race. Yet they were faster, smarter and had the ability of healing faster than most humans. They are bug like in a way, they are green almost a pale green though I have seen a few such as Invader Zim who skin was darker. They have bug like eyes no pupils the color are most red or purple sometimes you see a green or blue and on rare time you might see gold.

They don't have ears or noses they have antennas that do both of those sense for them, last they have three to four figures and I heard have only two to three toes. Also the could life forever if not kill or lost their Paks.

Now Paks are what give Irkens life, you see Irken didn't really have kids the old fashion way anymore it was done by cloning. When a smeet is ready and smeet is a baby Irken. The pak is placed on to the back and it gives the smeet a electroshock to the system bringing them to life.

Now each pak gives each Irken it own personality and it records everything. It's their life source if it removed from the Irken for 10 minutes the Irken dies, and so does the person who stole it.

But getting back to the work thing though I didn't mind it too much, to most humans it was slavery. Though we did get paid though it was little. In my option it was karma coming back a biting us in the ass for all the shit we did to our own race at least Irkens weren't that cure to each other or that I saw like I said before they kinder then they seem.

I got to the club sang pretty much anything but rap. It was a good night the club made good money and Mike was happy.

I let out a yawn.

"Kat?" called Mike

Now see Mike is different than most Irken he has two different colored eyes one red and the other is purple. He taller than most Irken at the average height for human man, the tallest were still taller about 6'6 to 6'8 I think Mike was about 6'4. When I only reached 6'2, I was taller than most Irken yes but for a human I was taller then I should be for a girl that is.

"Yes sir?" I answered with yet another yawn

He sighed

"Kat how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that!"

"A million?"

He chuckled making his pale green skin turn darker.

"Kat you should take the day off you need rest."

"Mike I'm fine"

He growled

"Kat you aren't, that human smell Dave cheated on you and broke your heart you're not ok."

I gave a weak smile.

"I will be fine Mike you should really get home to your family."

"Kat.."

But I ran off before he said more, I didn't want to hear it.

Mike's pov

I hated all the humans but the two who helped Zim take over and Kat. It was mostly Kat though she was a sweet, caring human she stood out. She had long black hair and violet eyes which was rare for humans, she was smart too though she didn't think so.

I remembered once we had a kid's night and young Irken boy was being teased, she went over and stop it then sang a song just for him called Firework by a human called Katy Perry.

Those eyes light up like an explosion on that boy, since then pretty much every Irken respects her but a few. Though she was human she was more Irken then she knew. She was willing to learn our speech unlike the other humans.

I was one of the few that knew about her Earth life, and it wasn't pretty. Her parental units cut her down and would hit her. Her so called friends hurt her and those human man they would tell her they cared then leave her alone. Her parents and most ex-boyfriends were on Irk far away from her.

I began to look at Kat as a daughter and she should have a better life than this, though she was pretty as a human I guess, she really need a mate someone to finally take care of her. She put others before herself like that slime ball Dave.

She forgave him though I knew she was still crying over that asshole. I wasn't the only one who thought this, but little Kat need to help and it was going to take a while to make her take it.

"Kat?" I called

"Yes sir?" she answered with yawn

I sighed

"Kat how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that!"

"A million?"

I chuckled

"Kat you should take the day off you need rest."

"Mike I'm fine"

I growled

"Kat you aren't, that human smell Dave cheated on you and broke your heart you're not ok."

She gave a weak smile.

"I will be fine Mike you really you should get home to your family."

"Kat.."

But she ran off before I said more, I knew she didn't want to hear it. She was right I had a beautiful wife and son to go to I was one a the very few Irkens that believed in a family life, but whatever. So I locked up shop and went home hoping that someone would love her the way she should.


Red's pov

Zim had done it to the shock of all of us, but he did with the help of humans who turned on their race and now were Irken themselves for two major reason one was because the earned it and two was they were mates with Irken. Zim found his mate she was spicy girl her name was Gaz as of the moment they on their honeymoon. The other human who help Zim was Dib he was with Tak and the two of them were taking over another planet.

I sat in my room board Impending Doom 2 was almost over, Purple now had a mate and was with her more and more. I won't be surprised if they had a smeet soon. In the past mouths Purple and myself thought of going back to the old ways of having smeets and well Irkens seemed to like it a lot and I was happy for them I just felt alone.

I sighed then I heard two Irkens talking

"Have you been to Mike's club Jim?" Irken one said

"Yes I love that place Max" answered Jim

"Most of all KAT!" said Max

"She the smart kindness and prettiest human I seen and know" said Jim

"I know right and tall, did you hear that her human mate cheated on her then dumped her" said Max

"He didn't!?" said Jim in shock

"He did stupid bastard doesn't know what he had" Max said with venom

"No lie she needs a real Mate, and not a stupid human" said Jim

"Right on so you going to ask her out then?" said Max teasingly

"Me no she might be human but she still out of me league" said Jim sadly

Then the two walked on still talking.

"Hmmm I have to see this for myself" I said

I went to this so call club.

"My tallest what can I do for you?" came a taller Irken not as tall as me of course

"I'm here to see your performer"

"You mean Kat she is the greatest human I know my tallest"

"Is this your place?"

"Yes my tallest Mike at your service"

I smiled

"When does the show start"

"Soon"

Just as he said that the lights went off and piano music played and beautiful human appeared in a blue green dress and she sang this song first at it was they only of I heard that night.

Suddenly I wanted to know this human she was different and I really like that. I went home a tried to rest but she was on my mind.

Kat's pov

I went to my room and laid on the bed utterly tried and unable to keep my eyes open any longer. I soon was sleeping and dreaming of Earth and the beauty that it use to be, I truly did miss Earth. I mean it were I was born and grew up, yet I couldn't forget the meanness that I had gone through and the hate from my family still hurt me.

Suddenly as peacefully as the dream had start it soon was a nightmare, I saw myself alone and always alone. I woke up in a cold sweat unable to fall back asleep, my eyes full of salty tears. I pulled my legs up and hugged myself. I looked out the small window and in the far distance I saw a shooting star and made a wish.

It was Saturday I got up early and went to the library to read Earth books to the smeets. As of now I was reading The Hobbit and they enjoyed a lot or I thought they did, because they were always sad when either their parental units came for them or I had to leave to get some rest before singing that night.

As I was reading I heard footsteps coming, but I continued to read because most the time it was another Irken coming to listen in or to get a book out of the back. All the sudden the smeets were looking at the new person that had joins us. I put the book down to see the tallest Red standing there with guards on both sides of him, now he had red eyes and red outfit so he named after a color.

"Tallest Red what can I do for you?" I asked

He smiled and amazing smile that made me feel warm and safe.

"Yes, I like to speak with you Ms. Kat"

"Please call me Kat sir"

He smiled again, he let me finish the chapter for the smeets before we walked off. My heart was beating very fast and I was feeling very warm and safe near him. Weird.

"I heard you sing last night you have a beautiful voice." he said sweetly

I try to hide my blushing, from him ,but I knew he saw it because he smiled.

"Thank you my tallest"

"Please call me Red"

I was shocked not many Irkens could call him that but the tallest Purple and his mate.

"Of course my tallest Red"

He chuckled

"We alone besides my guards please call me just Red"

"Ok Red"

Red's pov

She was amazing, beautiful, kind, tall and she wasn't like the other humans I knew. Not that I knew many personal, but that was because they were cruel, rude and stubborn. Anyway as we walked to the observatory room to see the stars, I looked at every feature of her. The midnight black hair that was long and look so soft. She had violet eyes which for some reasons was rare in humans unlike Irkens. She was taller than most Irkens not like Purple or myself not to mention her boss, but still she was taller than most Irkens.

It shocked me that humans could be so tall yet so stupid, but hey there nothing you can do about that.

I also noted that she looked tired like she hadn't slept in a good long time. Irken don't need to sleep like humans do, but we still do it. It keeps are minds fresh.

"When the last time you slept Kat?" I asked

" Last night" she said with a smile

I chuckled

"I meant well dear"

She paused for a second

"I don't really remember to tell you the truth"

I got an idea in my head I have talk to her and Mike but I need this one close to me

"Kat"

"Yes"

"I would like you to go on a date with me"

Her whole face turned Red my favorite color

"What?"

"I asked if you go on a date with me"

"Of course..."

"Good I pick you up at 8 and I speak to your boss about work"

"Ok..."
