Good day,

About a year ago I started watching the re-runs of the GGs. I actually found i enjoyed the characters. Whoever wrote the lines for Loralai is very clever. Loralai with quick wit, charm and beauty is the main actress and she is the show - just my opinion.
Moving on, in season 6 when Loralai and Luke decided to post pone their wedding, I thought the producer must have decided to end their 6 year run. In no way was that a move to keep the series going. However, they did have a season 7 and that was all they wrote for the tv show Gilmore Girls.
I don't know the the rreason behind the cancellation because I rarely find a sitcom I like - but, I really enjoyed Loralai, Luke, Rory, Emily, Lane and Zak. They played their characters very well - but, why did the producer bring we, the audience that like the show, to the pinnacle only to drop the ball into the hands of Christopher. I thought season 7 was awful. I can hardly watch the show's in which Christopher, Rory's biological dad, marries Loralai. Grant it, it was a nice gesture to bring Loralai, Christopher and Rory together but as much as Christopher believed that they (him & Loralai) should be together, he then divorces Loralai within 2 months because he finds a character letter that she wrote for Luke so Luke could have could take said letter to a parental custody fight.
Oh, the character Christopher is the biggest drag on this tv show and in season 6 Luke and Loralai should have married. Period! No stupid postponements, they should have married. They were 2 parts of a puzzle that fit together. I do believe if they married this show could have run 10 years. I would have enjoyed watching the daily zingers from Loalai too Luke's comebacks. It would have been almost another show entirely with Luke, Loralai, Rory and a baby.
Imagine, if you will, 3 1/2 seasons with Luke and Loralai married, with a baby. And, all the other solid actor and actresses. I think those 3&1/2 - albeit theoretically, would have been the best years of that show.
In conclusion, the only good thing about season 7 was the last minute, I think it waa the last minute, when the camera pulls back from the scene where the town is celebrating Rory graduating, you see luke walking up to Loralai and they embrace with a hug and that was THE END of the show.
