Gerbils Question

When should I be concerned that they aren't drinking?

I just got two gerbils this Sunday, and I haven't seen them drink ONCE. I put them by the water once in a while. I also put a little water dish under the bottle to get them to drink from it, but they won't! I know they are desert animals, but when should I be worried?

you shouldn't be concerned. It is winter so they don't drink that much and when you give them fresh vegetables like salad or carrots they get their recommended daily amount of water.
my gerbils don't drink that much or rather drink nothing at this time of the year.
you should be concerned when they don't drink in summer.

you can give them every day fresh veggies if you want. their food should be a good mix of fresh veggies and dry food for gerbils.
