Everything would have been prevented if Romeo never danced with Juliet on the ball. So...wtf, really? That was something to trigger a PLOT. Irri and Rakharo are both sweet but to ship them, well, I don't know... maybe, why not? Jon Snow is seriously overrated and all that's interesting about him is the possible Lyanna-Rhaegar thing (for me). And he's a good guy because he and Arya are close. As for Ros. I thought a lot about her reading the book. Surely Ros adds more sex scenes which is essential to sell the show plus she's quite important to find out about people's background on the show. Like Theon and Petyr. The Petyr vs Brandon Stark scene was Catelyn's THOUGHTS in the book, surely they had to solve that somehow. And I thought Ros was okay... And Ian Glen is surely a great Jorah. So great you even think about the Daenerys-Jorah ship, but still Daenerys-Drogo forever. I don't know why I have to talk so much always.

@delamico- You can talk a lot, because you talk with lot of sense :) It was obvious they had to add some characters to (paradoxically) stay true to the book. OMG, I agree with every single opinion, so I only say that I'm happy somebody agrees that Jon is one of the most overrated characters. And Ian Glen as Jorah rocks :)

It's obviously true. There are a lot of theories about Jon Snow. We don't know her mother, but I still believe he is Rhaegar and Lyanna son, so Iron Throne is him. And only one person in Westeros know this, but he's never apper in books.

JON? OMG... NO WAAAAYY! He is the LEAST interesting... okay maybe I'm overreacting but he is SO not the most interesting!

NOTHING would've been prevented (in the grand scheme of things) if Jaime hadn't tried to kill Bran. Ned still would've gone to King's Landing, and pursued Jon Arryn's research, and eventually found out the truth.

Also, Ros was an annoying and unnecessary addition.

All except the one about Ros.She had one or two unnecessary scenes ,but I think it was a good decision to make one character from a lot of whores.This works better on a Tv show.
Jon is one of the most interesting characters.
Some things would have been prevented and many things delayed.
Irri and Jhiqui are both totally into Rakharo .It is known. :P
