After last week\'s cliffhanger, we finally found out the fate of Arya Stark in last night\'s episode of
Despite being stabbed repeatedly by The Waif, we discovered that she miraculously made it out alive thanks to help from actress Lady Crane - it seems soup and bandages cure multiple wounds.

Actress Maisie Williams has now opened up about the tense plotline, revealing to
: "We wanted people to think this could be the end, or the start of the end.
"Like maybe her wound is going to fester - like The Hound. We did so many different takes of emerging out of the water the first time she\'s stabbed and sliced."
She added: "Arya hasn\'t been emotional in a long time and we wanted to bring that emotion. When it\'s a long-running series you have to give her light and shade.
"It\'s the first time she thinks she\'s not going to make it and it\'s scary. She ends people\'s lives like there\'s no tomorrow, but when it\'s finally happening to her she\'s petrified.
"She\'s petrified of dying. She\'s got so much more to do. And just the sheer anger, too - The Waif? Really? Of all the people to kill her!"
Game of Thrones season 6: Episode eight increases the violence as we gear up for a big showdown
However, it seems Arya will now be able to continue in her quest for revenge, telling Jaqen H\'gar at the end of the episode that she was most definitely Arya Stark and not a Faceless Man before setting off back to Westeros.
continues on HBO next Sunday (June 19) in the US and on Sky Atlantic the next day in the UK.
