5 ‘Game of Thrones’ Characters Who’ve Changed the Most
has 50 episodes under its belt as we ready ourselves for Season 6, and scores have come and gone in that time. But of those who’ve been around since the very first episode (and are still alive), most of them have gone through some pretty drastic changes.

Here are the characters who have changed the most since the premiere.
Jon Snow. Jon still has a chip on his shoulder, but he’s become a great leader and a seasoned warrior. There isn’t anyone in Westeros at this point who doesn’t know that this bastard is now a force to be reckoned with. We\'re pretty sure death can’t even stop him!

Sansa Stark. Sansa was insufferable for a long time, since all she cared about was trying on dresses and flirting with Joffrey, but now she’s become a shrewd budding politician with her eyes on the prize. We have no doubt that she’ll bounce back from her torment at the hands of Ramsay and be stronger than ever in Season 6.

Daenerys Targaryen. Speaking of bouncing back from torment, Dany went from being sold by her brother and raped by her husband to being a queen and riding friggin’ dragons. Her trajectory has been up, up, up for a while now, so we’re not worried with her falling in with some new Dothraki. We’re sure they’ll pledge their devotion to her by Episode 2 of the new season.
Jaime Lannister. If you remember the pilot, Jaime was the main villain. He was it. He was a jerk, he was nailing his sister, and he tried to murder a child. Now he’s the coolest dude with the quickest wit in all of Westeros. Oh, and he actually saves innocent people instead of killing them. He even shows affection to his kids! Well, they die immediately afterward, but still! That’s what we call progress.
Theon Greyjoy. Oof, poor Theon. Initially one of the show’s most cocky characters, Ramsay turned him into a scared dog who’s missing several appendages. “Reek” finally showed a flash of the old Theon at the end of Season 5 when he rescued Sansa, and we’ll have to see if he can further uncover his former self in the new season.
