Frozen Question

Do you like Hans?

Dude, I LOVE Hans and that's actually pretty rare, considering everyone else hates him just because he pretended to kill Elsa.

I mean, really, what is NOT to love about Hans?! He's nice, has a great sense of humor, good looking, he can sing, he's a prince, loves sandwiches, and even loves himself as well! That's gotta count for something.

Sure, he might think about stabbing you in the back later on, but, hey! It's for a good cause! If he becomes King, he can save Arendelle and keep it protected! Instead of freezing it and leaving everyone to die.

Not really. He's poorly developed as a villain and not exactly cut out to be a hero, either. I feel like the whole 'plot twist' with him turning out to be the villain was done purely for 'shock value', as he never displayed any signs of villainy prior to that moment. So no, not a good villain.

As for him potentially being a good guy, I'm sorry, but this is the same guy who used a girl's desperation to get married to scheme his way to the throne, abandoned her when she was dying, and tried to kill her sister. Yep, totally a nice guy. Can't see anything wrong with that. He's certainly not a mentally unstable sociopath or anything. That guy is harmless, I can't see why anyone would hate him! All hail Prince Hans, the true future King of Arendelle with murderous tendencies! *Shrug* Oh well, everyone is a bit of a fixer upper, so what if he enjoys plotting murders of adolescent girls? The important thing is that he's good looking, has a great sense of humor, a prince, loves sandwiches, loves himself, and is a character in a musical who can sing! *Gasp*

It's not shock value if he's an amazing actor! Believe it or not, there are many people who are good at fooling others all for the better cause. You just don't realize yet how great of a guy he truly is. He's just misguided is all. They truly didn't develope him as much as they should have, as you guys stated and that's sad. Everyone hates him, so being King is pretty much his only way to get people to love him and that is what he was trying to do. Killing people wasn't his original intention. Elsa and Anna just happened to get in the way of his plans.

I can understand his motivation, but a character's tragic back story in no way excuses his horrible deeds in the present. And nope, attempted murder is still attempted murder. I don't want to point fingers, but by saying "Elsa and Anna just happened to get in the way of his plans and that's why he tried to kill them", you're perpetuating victim blaming, and that squicks the hell out of me. Oh, let's not blame the murderer who premeditated the murder, let's blame the victims who almost got killed by "getting in his way". Yup, seeing it now.

@MelodyLaurel He didn't kill anyone, though, so he's not a murderer. In movies, television, and books, none of this applies. None of this matters. It's all for entertainment. It doesn't matter what Hans does. He's going to do it anyway and I'm going to love him for it. He's not real anyway. They're all cartoons.

No... sorry... this is my opinion.

I'm guessing that he pretty much pretended his nice attitude, his love for sandwiches and his sense of humor to be loved by Anna.

He did not pretend to kill Elsa. He ATTEMPTED to.

So, I'm really sorry if we do not agree. Let's just respect each other's opinions. :)

Wait, why do you think it matters if we don't agree with eachother? lol It's okay that you say 'no'. I don't mind, but what I DO mind is when people hate him for no reason. Betraying Anna and trying to kill Elsa is NO reason to hate/dislike him. There is more to him than the majority realizes. I just think people need to give him more credit than they've been giving him. He's not such a bad guy!

No, I don't. In fact, I don't like him not because he is the villain, and also not because he wants to kill Elsa. The simple answer is: I just don't like him from the first I saw him in the merchandise picture. You know "liking" is preference. I don't like his hair/beard around his jaws. His face is weird with too-long chin.

Besides, he's full of insincerity and dishonesty. I don't really think he really has a great sense of humor and loves sandwiches. He only follows Anna's personality so he can win her heart to reach his ambition. All his good action to Anna is fake. I don't like a person who is full of lies and don't change.

Okay, besides that, to me he is a weak, underdeveloped villain. Actually I like other cool villain characters, but Hans is just too weak for me to like him.

About you love Hans, I don't think that's rare because I know some people who are also fans of him. ;)

Really? His sideburns are awesome, though! You don't like what makes a man a man? Hair?! You want him to be as bald as a babies butt? There is clearly something wrong with you. The amount of people who actually like Hans IS rare. I'm one of the few who like him and believe he could be a better person if they developed him more as you said and finished his story after he was caught trying to kill Elsa. Elsa could even torture him if need be. That would be really hot. Or rather, very cold and terrifying, but quite the sexy scene if you put your imagination to use.
