Probably Zoe, even though Simon is the only character I actually don't like, they need a doctor. At least with Zoe gone they would still have Mal/Jayne/River to kick ass. posted over a year ago.

	NonNobisSolum picked Zoe (wash becomes depressed, one of crew becomes first mate?): i'd rather none of them died (joss has said that if he had done another series instead of a movie neither wash or book would have died) but for the purposes of the movie, i would have rather zoe died) - it would mean wash gets the last-stand-with-a-vengance scene, his relationship with mal would be affected (he might blame him for her death), he could be depressed half the time and making jokes the rest of the time (or go into denial and joke-making-hawaiian-shirt-wearing-dinosaur-fighting-wash-manic-overdrive) and maybe simon could treat him for depression river could take zoe's place on the heists, wash would be first mate besides all that, zoe is just the least interesting character for me, because all the roles she fills could be done by the others, and the zoe/mal team on heists gets a bit repetitive - mix it up a bit and give her the odd flashback - i'd like to see more of the war posted over a year ago.

Her death scene would have been a great time for that to come out as well as her feelings for Mal.
