Feminism How do you feel about "rape" being used casually? Aka, "ear rape", "that test totally raped me", "rape the play button", etc.

It shows a blatant, flippant disregard for the severity of rape. Making rape the butt of a joke downplays how traumatic and harmful it actually is. Not to mention that it can trigger rape survivors who are just trying to live their lives peacefully without seeing the words RAPE brought up in places that should be safe, reminding them of their rapes.

Poll inspired by that prick hatelaxerne who thought titling a video of Emmy Rossum singing "Ear Rape" was just ~lolz so edgy!!!1

Eh i'm okay with ear rape for some reason, but not the other ones get on my nerves. Cause' if someone got raped they would not like to hear that. (But I'm just glad hatelarxene is gone)

I don't really like it, but honestly my strongest feeling towards this behaviour is just plain confusion. Like, what are these phrases even supposed to mean? Can't people just learn some real adjectives? :P

I can't stand it! I remember it used to be said so often around 2009-2011 and I didn't like it back then, either. Now if I hear someone say it I'll say something to the person.

Hate it. Luckily I don't hear it as much as I did back in high school.
