P!nk's new album titled "Funhouse" finally hit stores on Oct. 28. The album "Funhouse" is a great album packed with attitude and emotion. With its universal themes, this album will be enjoyed by many.
"Funhouse" is somewhat of a personal album focusing on her private life as well as her public life. This album has a more rock/acoustic sound than her older albums, which were more pop. P!nk teamed up with the hit makers Max Martin and Billy Mann, as well as others. This album is predicted to be a hit. P!nk has already sold 22 million albums worldwide.
The theme of the album seems to be about life in general: love, hate, the good times and the bad times. P!nk's hit "So What" is definitely the most upbeat song on the record. It has been called the "divorce ballad." The other songs are much more slow paced and are about the pain of heartbreak. P!nk's recent divorce inspired many of the songs and give insight to her personal life. Since this theme is so universal, it should appeal to almost everyone. This album has very good lyrics that are deeply moving and very private.
If there is one thing about "Funhouse" that is disappointing, it is that the majority of the songs are very slow, and are about bad breakups and relationships. There should be more of a variety between slow songs and upbeat dance songs. For example, P!nk's last album had a lot of good upbeat songs mixed with the slower songs. It made for a very good mix. P!nk almost always delivers great dance songs, so it would have been nice to see more on this new album.
Overall, the album "Funhouse" is an excellent one. Even though the main theme is heartbreak, it is easy to relate to and beautifully written. This album is totally different than anything P!nk has done before in the past, but that's not bad.
