Things like on the movie spot there are lots of 'who is the best Twilight character' picks. I don't mean there should be no picks featuring Twilight there, things like 'do you prefer Harry potter or Twilight' or 'what are your favourite type of vampire' are fine, but on lots of spots there are many picks that are just about Twilight, that don't really fit there. That's what all the Twilight spots are for, and to be honest it annoys me that there are Twilight-specific picks on spots that have nothing to do with Twilight.

I know people will ask why I am pointing out just Twilight fans doing that because fans of other things do it too, but I have to say I've never known fans of anything else to be nearly as bad for posting picks that just belong on their spots all over fanpop.

Maybe I'm just being crabby, but I really do find it annoying. Like I said I wouldn't mind if they were questions that fitted in the spots that happened to feature Twilight, I just wish they would make sure the pick they are posting is relevant to the spot, and if it's not then put it on one of the many spots that is for Twilight.

I do find it annoying. Like mermaid said, they have their own spots for that. I imagine anyone who likes Twilight enough to want to answer something like "Who is you favourite Cullen boy" (something I have seen on at least 4 spots that are not related to Twilight) has already answered on the Twilight spot.

I don't mind questions involving Twilight, or even the question 'do you like Twilight' because obviously to get an objective answer to that they have to post it on a non Twilight spot, but questions that only apply to Twilight like who is the best Cullen shouldn't be anywhere but on the Twilight spots.

what annoys me is when its asked on spots like greys, 90210, buffy, i odnt know if ther exact spots but its defo on ones like it. the questions ususally go like do you think bella from twilight is most like....(options of characters), and before i had seentwlight i was just like this is kinda guna ruin it a bit for me i never went on the twlight spot cuz i didnt wna know about it but people kept bringing it onto spots i was a fan of!

It's incredibly annoying. It wouldn't be so annoying if it didn't happen so often. And personally, I've never seen another fandom encroach so much on other spots. Generalized questions like "Have you seen/read...Do you recommend...Do you like Twilight" are fine. But specific questions about favourite characters belong on Twilight spots. My only theory is that these questions must have been asked a billion and a half times on Twilight Spots, so these people don't want to repeat picks...so they ask them on other spots! :/ Oh and if you point out that there are Twilight Spots for those questions- people call you nasty. This is what I said on a pick asking who your fav Twilight character was:
"No offense, but I really think this pick should be on the Twilight spot. The Movies Spot is about movies in general, ie what's your favourite movie, what kind of movie you like best, etc. It seems like you'd get a bigger response if you posted this pick on a Twilight-related spot. I've never seen the movie and don't really plan to."
And here was the immediate response:
"that was kind of nasty i mean this spot is for all movies if they want to put a pick her they can!"
I though I was being polite! Believe me, my kneejerk response was a lot nastier!

I´m a Twilight fan, and it annoys me when people do that, but the only reason why i think they are doing it, as fanfly pointed, is cause almost everybody on the Twilight spot is sick of repeated questions, and instead of stopping them, they just go annoy people on other spots. And thats terrible, cause i didnt join any of the others spots to hear about Twilight!!! :P

I haven't seen any of these picks, but it would annoy me a lot if I did see them.

I do think some of it is because they want to ask a question that has already been asked.

I wonder if the people who do that realise that they are probably putting some peple off the books too? not just because those picks are annoying, but because to me it makes it seem like the fans don't have much good stuff to work with.

I'm not explaining that well, er. Ok, here's an example: Buffy the vampire slayer ended years ago but fans still come up with new picks about it every day. For the Twilight fans to seem so low on original picks that they're having to repeat them on different spots makes it seem like the books aren't good enough to inspire a lot of picks.

Whether that is true or not it's certainly the impression given, and if I hadn't already read (and disliked to be honest) the books I'd be put off by this.

Yea fanfly I remember that pick and I even remember the user because she was so rude and I don't usually remember such things.

@ineedcoffee, I think the reason it bothered me so much was because I took the time to word my opinion politely. I mean, I really tried to be nice about it when what I really wanted to say was "I am so sick of all this Twi-crap. Go post on your own spot!"

What kind of justification is "Twilight is popular"? So just because it's popular, everyone should like it and be happy to see pointless repeat picks about it in non Twilight spots? Seriously, how many times can the question "Jacob or Edward?" be asked? You know what I've been doing every time I see a question like that? I post a link to this pick in the comments.

i hate when people make spots like twilight rocks....isnt that the same as twilight series spot and there was this one called jasper looks like edward scissorhands that should have beena pick instead of a spot...but yeah it annoys me

Let Twilight rock and be as popular as you want it to, but that doesn't mean you have to come to forexample the Supernatural spot and make a pick saying "Do you like Twilight?????". ok, that wasn't the worst question to ask, but still. Since when did Twilight have anything to do with Supernatural? xD
