Tasteful nude photography is not offensive to me. But I doubt that the users on this site can handle it. There used to be a Nudity Spot- all tasteful, nothing pornographic- and it got deleted. :( Pretty sure someone reported it as offensive. The problem is that in American society nudity is automatically associated with sex.

They are works of art. We wouldn't want to censor Venus statues, for example, would we?

@fanfly Agreed. I'm fine with tasteful nude. It's rather disappointing that people are too immature for it and always sexualize it.

As long that users don't post any graphic nudity with Female beast/private parts shown or Male private parts shown.

Not on Fanpop, I don't think. I don't see anything wrong with nudity and/or sexual stuff but I feel like Fanpop's age range is centered a little too young for that as a widespread thing.

Personally, I don't have a problem with nudity, but we are trying our best to keep Fanpop free for our users and to do that we need to maintain certain standards set by our advertisers. Most advertisers either require their ads to run on sites that are nudity free. Fanpop is so large it's hard to find all the nudity so this is a difficult problem. Advertisers usually have no problem, but once in a while they find some nudity that we haven't found and then pull their advertising which creates a serious problem for us (both in current income as well as being able to sell future advertising space). So, regardless of how we personally feel about nudity, we can't really have it on Fanpop.

^^ It is indeed good to know. If it's Fanpop or no-censorship I'd have to choose Fanpop. I don't really care for censorship personally, but if it helps keep the site running more smoothly then it's cool by me. That info is definitely good to know.

Not meaning to sound ignorant, but I am not a fan of nudity. As long as it's censored it's fine to me. Again, not meaning to sound ignorant to those who like it.

Non-taken, nudity isn't for everyone. Honestly I'm not big on vulgar nudity. For me it depends how it's done.

I guess it depends if you count discretely shot nudity (framed in a way that no sexualised body parts are visible) as nudity.
